The development comes as leftists become increasingly violent and threatening amid the Supreme Court’s expected decision to overturn the controversial Roe v. Wade abortion ruling.
According to a draft majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito that was leaked to Politico, “Roe was egregiously wrong from the start. Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences. And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have inflamed debate and deepened division.”
Thus, the SCOTUS wrote that “Roe and Casey must be overruled,” adding that “it is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”
The majority opinion leak brought scores of leftists to the homes of Supreme Court justices, who made threats ostensibly in an attempt to persuade the Justices to change their mind.
However, the high court is still expected to overturn the abortion ruling despite the threats, Valiant News reported.
Democrats and leftists have had mixed reactions in light of the news, ranging from calls to pack the Supreme Court with more justices, to pushing a narrative that the incoming ruling will precede an assault on gay marriage, including bans on contraception.
Pro-life organizations and pregnancy centers have been increasingly attacked by leftists pro-abortion activists.
As Valiant News reported, a pro-life pregnancy crisis center in North Carolina was vandalized on Monday night, with threatening messages graffitied on the building that read “if abortions aren’t safe, neither are you!”
After a fire at a New York pregnancy help group known as CompassCare was seemingly firebombed, the company’s CEO yesterday claimed that radical pro-abortion extremists were the culprits, in an attempt to keep the group from helping mothers with unplanned pregnancies using methods other than abortion.
“This is the pro-abortion ‘Kristallnacht,’” said Harden, quoted by Students for Life President Kristan Hawkins on Twitter. He compared the attack to the Nazi pogrom of Jews that occurred in 1938.
“Because of this act of violence, the needs of women facing unplanned pregnancy will go unmet and babies will die,” he warned.
Should Roe v. Wade be overturned, protection of the unborn would be left up to individual states — and at least 18 states across America would almost immediately ban abortion due to previously-passed “trigger laws.”
