Update: Thorburn-Calcino has now raised the bounty to $40,000, having previously raised the bounty to $20,000, despite the passing of his original deadline.

Luke David Thorburn-Calcino, the former Associate with Goldman Sachs who was fired after his 2015 donation to the first campaign of former President Donald J. Trump, announced on Thursday a $10,000 bounty for a physical copy of the 1969 yearbook from the high school attended by deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein in an effort he branded “#Epstein2.”

Thorburn-Calcino first announced the bounty in a post to LinkedIn, where the banker-turned-researcher specified he seeks “physical, hard-copy format” of the 1969 edition of the Legend yearbook associated with Lafayette High School 400 in Brooklyn, New York.

He declared a deadline of Friday, August 30 at 6 p.m. EDT, but hedged that he reserves the “right to make a small extension” if “reasonably appropriate.”

When reached by Valiant News, Thorburn-Calcino specified, “I do not care who gives me the yearbook, be it a journalist, spook, or private citizen.”

Thorburn-Calcino, in a press release reviewed by Valiant News, stated that he has secured copies or elements of every edition of the Legend yearbook associated with Epstein’s high school from 1960-1968, as well as the 1970 and 1971 yearbooks, but that the 1969 edition containing images of Epstein remains elusive.

“The Bounty, now public, is not something new. Others have tried and failed in private for some time,” Thorburn-Calcino said in a press release. “A fresh set of eyes from private citizenry cannot hurt as we seek the righteous path and to achieve Truth, at Scale.”

Thorburn-Calcino told Valiant News he thought a citizen journalist may find the yearbook, which he said would deal an embarrassing blow to established media outlets.

“I have full faith that citizen researchers of all stripes share my desire to see what secrets the yearbook may hold, and we present this opportunity to Mock the Mockingbird Media to anyone up to the task,” said Thorburn-Calcino to Valiant News.

Outside the “Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich” documentary released by Netflix in 2020, which Thorburn-Calcino told Valiant News offered virtually no information about the human trafficker’s childhood, the only published reference to photographs within the yearbook occurred in 2019, when Thorburn-Calcino explained The Daily Beast described but did not publish two images contained in the 1969 Legend. Thorburn-Calcino also claims to have evidence the author and editor-in-chief did not possess the yearbook.

Thorburn-Calcino told Valiant News his bounty has received little interest, and even resistance, from U.S.-based media outlets, but a surprising level of outreach internationally, particularly from Eastern outlets.

He also said he and his team are willing to travel internationally if necessary to retrieve a physical copy of the yearbook.

Born in Australia and educated in the United States, Thorburn-Calcino was working in New York in 2015, when The New York Times reported he was the only employee of Goldman Sachs to donate to Trump’s first presidential campaign.

He was later fired by Goldman Sachs, and as Valiant News exclusively reported earlier this year, ultimately negotiated a five-figure settlement with the finance giant.

Thorburn-Calcino is now primarily based out of Latin America and the Middle East.
