A settlement agreement filed yesterday reveals that a group of Illinois healthcare workers who refused to take the COVID-19 vaccines and sued will receive $10 million from the company they claimed illegally denied their religious exemptions.
The lawsuit was filed by around 12 workers at the NorthShore University HealthSystem, according to Epoch Times, and resulted in 8 months of negotiations between the parties. Ultimately, a memorandum reveals the parties “have agreed to settle the case.”
Workers who refused the vaccine will be compensated by a settlement fund, which will receive $10,337,500 from NorthShore University HealthSystem. The fund will compensate “workers who between July 1, 2021 and Jan. 1, 2022 asked for a religious accommodation and were denied and either received a vaccine to avoid termination or were fired or resigned.”
Epoch Times reports that at least 473 current and former employees fall into this category.

Assuming the total amount is dispersed equally to every person, this would net each individual about $22,000. Epoch Times reports that other considerations could result in individuals who were fired receiving closer to $25,000. Additionally, workers who were fired for refusing the vaccine will be eligible to apply for their old jobs.
The company will also “adjust” its vaccine mandate “to enhanve its accommodation procedures with approved exemptions for sincerely held religious belief.” The case was overseen by U.S. District Judge John Kness, a Trump appointee, who approved the settlement.
The development comes as multiple studies are raising alarms among those who were already critical of the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines.

One study reveals that the majority of women who received the jabs experienced some change to their menstrual cycle, with a plurality of women reporting that their menstrual cycles are longer or more severe after being vaccinated.
At the same time, a second study, reported by Tucker Carlson, shows that the vaccines may “suppress” the immune system and cause further illness.
Simultaneously, a the new BA.5 strain of COVID-19 appears to be able to punch through whatever immunity was offered by the vaccines and has been deemed the most contagious strain of the disease yet.
