Rep. Jim Jordan slammed former White House Coronavirus Task Force Coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx on Thursday’s over the U.S. government’s previous claims that COVID-19 vaccines would prevent vaccinated individuals from being infected with the virus.
Many government officials, including Joe Biden himself, had claimed that COVID-19 vaccines prevented infection and would end the pandemic as they forcefully implemented strict vaccine mandates.
Jordan asked, “When the government told us” that “people who had been vaccinated couldn’t get [COVID-19], were they guessing, or were they lying?”
“I don’t know,” Birx replied. “There was evidence from the global pandemic that natural reinfection was incurring, and since the vaccine was based on natural immunity, you cannot make the conclusion that the vaccine will do better than natural infection.”
Jordan seized on the reply, noting that Birx was “an expert” on the COVID-19 Task Force.
“You were part of this effort when you were in the previous administration,” said Jordan. “You can’t rule out the fact that our government was lying to us when they told us the vaccinated could not get the virus?”
“I don’t know about the discussions they had in the Task Force,” Birx replied.

Despite hundreds of millions of Americans having been vaccinated for COVID-19 — including babies, young children, and those who elected to be quintuple- vaccinated — the coronavirus pandemic remains.
As Valiant News reported, statistics from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services revealed that individuals who were vaccinated and “boosted” against COVID-19 were being hospitalized with coronavirus more than unvaccinated people last month.
Meanwhile, many triple and quadruple-vaxxed high-profile Democrats, government officials, members of the global elite, and world leaders continue to find themselves battling so-called “breakthrough” COVID-19 infections.
Among them is NIAID Director and Biden’s chief medical advisor, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who tested positive for COVID-19 last week despite being “fully vaccinated” and “double boosted” against the virus.
In addition to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Biden stated on Tuesday that the US government needs to raise money via taxation to “plan for the second pandemic,” appearing to go off script in predicting “another pandemic.”
“Well, we’ll get through at least this year. We do need more money. But we don’t just need more money for vaccines for children, eventually. We need more money to plan for the second pandemic,” Biden said.
“There’s going to be another pandemic,” Biden continued. “We have to think ahead, and that’s not something the last outfit did very well. That’s something we’ve been doing fairly well, that’s why we need the money.”
