Last night embattled Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, a Democrat, issued a “call to arms” to left wing activists because she believes the U.S. Supreme Court is “coming for” LGBTQ+ people.
The tweets came days after a leaked draft of a majority opinion from the Supreme Court indicated that the high court is set to overturn the controversial Roe v. Wade abortion ruling.
“To my friends in the LGBTQ+ community—the Supreme Court is coming for us next. This moment has to be a call to arms,” tweeted Lightfoot.
“We will not surrender our rights without a fight—a fight to victory!”

Twitter users then began to point out that the use of the “call to arms” phrase could be compared to calls for civil war or insurrection in the U.S.
Call to arms? Are you declaring an insurrection? Civil war?
What is wrong with you?
Your city has the highest murder rate in the US with the strictest gun control laws.
Now you are making things up and calling for war?
Not a good idea.
Democrats, the party of violence. https://t.co/uZIkkCWL2x

“Call to arms? Are you declaring an insurrection? Civil war? What is wrong with you?” tweeted Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
“Your city has the highest murder rate in the US with the strictest gun control laws. Now you are making things up and calling for war? Not a good idea. Democrats, the party of violence,” tweeted Rep. Greene.
This would be a literal call for a violent insurrection but nothing will happen to her because she's a Democrat. https://t.co/WtwaxGdSQL

Some users pointed out the hypocrisy over liberals’ reactions to 45th President Donald Trump’s use of the phrase “fight like hell” on January 6, which had ultimately played a role in his second impeachment.
Imagine if Trump had "a call to arms" instead of "protest peacefully." He'd be in jail w/ the rest of the 1/6 protesters. https://t.co/ca31jgFxfd

The SCOTUS is set to vote to overturn the Roe v. Wade abortion ruling, according to a draft majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito that was leaked to Politico.
The Roe SCOTUS leak resulted in widespread liberal outrage to the point where Justice Alito and his family had to vacate their homes and move to a secure location in order to avoid threats and potential danger from angry leftists, Valiant News reported.
