Joe Biden struggled to speak earlier today as he discussed specific actions the United States is taking to punish those close to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Biden promised to “accommodate” the “oligarchs” before laughing twice.
Biden promised to “Enhance our underlying effort to accommodate the Russian oligarchs and make sure we take their, take their ill begotten gains.”
At this point, Biden apparently realized he got a word wrong, and began laughing.
“We’re going to accommodate them,” said Biden, fighting laughter.
“We’re going to seize their yachts, their luxury homes, and other ill begotten gains of Putin’s kleptocric– yeah, kleptocracy, the guys who are the kleptocracies,” Biden said before laughing again. He then summarized, “But these are bad guys.”

Biden made the remarks while asking Congress for another $33 billion to fund Ukraine’s defense against Russia’s “special military operation” to demilitarize and “denazify” the country.
He attempted to suggest that the additional funding would help the White House punish Russian oligarchs who are believed to be key to Putin’s base of power in Russia.
This is the latest verbal blunder for the U.S. President whose public appearances have come to be marked by incoherent, slurred speech and awkward interpersonal interactions.
Most recently, his involvement at the White House Easter Egg Roll event became a lightning rod for conservatives who say Biden’s mental health is not adequate for the White House.
Biden was told to wave and sit by First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, was redirected away from small children by the Easter Bunny, and complained that Dr. Biden would not let him read a children’s book.
Around that time, Biden appeared to shake hands with no one while on an empty stage. Fact checkers were quick to claim that he was not shaking hands with thin air.
Just before that, Biden seemed to suggest the United States may launch a chemical weapons attack on Russia and told troops stationed in Poland that they were going to Ukraine. He also called for regime change in Russia, saying it was impossible for Putin to continue leading after the 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
Biden later claimed that none of this happened, though the White House repeatedly corrected its executive when he made the verbal blunders.
Perhaps explaining Biden’s words earlier this week, outgoing press secretary Jen Psaki – who is leaving the administration to host a web show for MSNBC – explained that Biden gets “frustrated” when his “passions” are ignored, or when his critics impose “limitations” on his behavior.
