Dave Reilly, a conservative activist in Idaho, has decided to launch a run for governor of the state as a Democrat, standing up for families, workers, and unborn children.
Reilly announced his run for Idaho governor on Sunday evening, declaring that the Democrat party has for years “endorsed far-left extremism,” and that it has “gone on long enough.” Reilly quoted their support of abortion, antifa, and Black Lives Matter, as well as the “destruction of women’s sports” and recent insane gas prices.
For years the Democrat party has endorsed far-left extremism. From abortion, to antifa & Black Lives Matter, to $7 gasoline and the destruction of Women’s sports.
It has gone on long enough.

On his campaign website, Reilly declared that as governor of Idaho, he would be “pro-family, pro-worker, pro-life, pro-bitcoin, pro-small business, and progressive.”
Some of his policies include: a monthly stipend for every child under 18 provided to young families; banning abortion and bringing “those responsible” for performing abortions “to justice”; banning capital gains taxes, property taxes, and income taxes for any Idahoan who uses bitcoin; and taxing out of state mega-corporations at higher rates.
“As governor, we will bring dignity back to Boise, and stamp out any policies that do not directly benefit Idahoans, or policies that compromise our Christian values,” Reilly declared.
Reilly had registered as a Democrat in March, after previously running for school board as a Republican.
When questioned by a potential constituent as to who his favourite Democrats were, he highlighted Al Smith and Huey Long, both populist politicians who stood up to mainstream Democrats under Franklin D Roosevelt.

Speaking exclusively to Valiant News, Reilly said his party-switching was inspired by Idaho Republican Larry Spencer, who in 2014 changed his affiliation to the Democrat party in order to vote for more ideologically-aligned candidates on the Democratic central committee.
After talking it over with friends and colleagues, Reilly decided to give it a go, with other members of the Kootenai County GOP following in his footsteps. Another Democrat candidate for Idaho governor has also made the switch from the GOP; Shelby Rognstad, the mayor of Sandpoint, who is running on a more centrist platform as a write-in candidate.
Reilly told Valiant News that he was actively developing his “badass” policy platform, suggesting that more America First candidates are going to be running on similar policies in the future. “Both parties are broken,” Reilly said, “especially in Washington DC.”
Earlier this month, Valiant News spoke to Janice McGeachin, the Lieutenant Governor of Idaho, who is seeking the Republican nomination for governor.
