X/Twitter CEO Elon Musk has thrown his support behind former President Donald Trump’s border wall, stating that the US southern border “needs to be secured amid the current illegal immigration crisis.
“The (USA) border needs to be secured. This is not a partisan issue – even the elected Democrat Party leaders of New York are saying this is a severe crisis,” Musk wrote.
X user Ed Krassenstein replied, “Absolutely. We need more security. What’s the best solution though?”
“We actually do need a wall and we need to require people to have some shred of evidence to claim asylum to enter, as everyone is doing that,” Musk replied. “It’s a hack that you can literally Google to know exactly what to say! Will find out more when I visit Eagle Pass maybe as soon as tomorrow.”

“I agree that sections of wall combined with technology and more manpower, as well as judges and lawyers would be the solution. A wall from sea to sea is not feasible though,” Krassenstein said.
Musk replied, “Absolutely. Most of the (very long) border is super inconvenient, however the convenient parts of the border need walls and that’s not hard.”

In New York this month, protesters gathered outside the Roosevelt Hotel, which has been converted into a temporary shelter for migrants, shouting slogans and demanding action from the city’s leaders.
Among the chants, Mayor Eric Adams was repeatedly referred to as “Biden’s bitch,” reflecting the protesters’ perception of his failure to stand up to the federal government on this issue.
The demonstration came less than two weeks after Mayor Adams warned that the influx of migrants could “destroy New York City,” highlighting the city’s struggle to handle the ongoing crisis. Despite these remarks, Adams has been criticized for his perceived lack of action and has repeatedly called on President Biden to expedite the permits required for migrants.
