Democratic U.S. Senate candidate John Fetterman’s own wife, Gisele, now says her husband is “disabled” and part of the “disabled community” following his stroke on May 13.
Gisele Fetterman made the remarks following an explosive interview earlier this week, in which a reporter noted that Fetterman was using a speech-to-text transcription tool to conduct an interview, and noted that he had trouble communicating during “small talk.”
Fetterman’s camp has taken issue with the reporter’s description of his inability to communicate fluidly, declaring that it’s a “hearing/auditory challenge” and not a reflection on the man’s health. Now, his wife is taking issue with the reporter, suggesting she holds prejudice against the disabled.
“What a disservice that she did to not only my husband but to anyone facing a disability and working through it,” said Mrs. Fetterman.
“I mean, she was ableist,” she declared. “It was appalling to the entire disability community and I think to journalism”
Gisele Fetterman with harsh words for NBC's Dasha Burns, saying her description of "small talk" with her husband left her feeling close to "rage."
"I don't know how there were not consequences."
Indicated that she wants an apology, but it hasn't come.

She continued, asserting that “the positive is it’s brought a lot of conversations around accommodations, around rights, around ableism. I mean, ableism was trending on Twitter.”
Gisele Fetterman made the remarks during an appearance on a podcast hosted by fringe leftist writer Molly Jong-Fast on Friday, and conservatives have begun to notice Fetterman’s new membership in the “disabled community.”
Again, this all came after Fetterman was exposed for being unable to hold a basic conversation with a reporter and relying on a speech-to-text transcription device to conduct his interviews.
“We had a monitor set up so he could read my questions,” the reporter said, as Valiant News reported earlier this week. “He has a hard time understanding what he’s hearing.”
“Now, once he reads the question, he’s able to understand. You’ll see here that he also still has some problems, some challenges, with speech,” she added. “And I’ll say, Katie, that just in some of the small talk prior to the interview, before the closed captioning was up and running. It did seem that he had a hard time understanding our conversation.”
John Fetterman sat down with NBC News for an interview tonight. He had to used closed captioning during the interview, the reporter says he had trouble speaking in the "small talk" before the captioning was on, and Fetterman's team is refusing to give them his medical records. pic.twitter.com/Y6tDhYMEPB

This latest development comes amid what seems to be a shift in messaging for Fetterman’s campaign.
While his staff previously maintained that the Democrat was making great progress in his stroke recovery, following the disastrous interview, his campaign has attempted to flip Fetterman’s bad health and frame it as a trait he shares with voters.
Fetterman faces Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz in the general election this November.

Ableist? Spare me. His job as a Senator requires the ability to communicate. He must be able to speak and understand the spoken word. Anything less means he is not serving his constituency.

Don’t be distracted by his ‘disability’, focus on his disgraceful record and reckless policy plans.

Puleese…… Joe Biden was elected with “obvious” disabilities. With DS propping him up it was possible. No different with Fetterman. Wake up, Sheeple!!!

The plan is to get him elected, then have him step down because of medical problems. They will pump, boo hoo, up putting her in his seat. She is even more radical then he is they say! We have seen this before. That’s how the Dems will get a radical in the Senate!

No private sector employer will keep you on in your job after a serious stroke with dim prosepects of recovering your normal faculties. You are a liability to yourself and your company.

Sorry but a blind person cannot be a crossing guard. Fetterman’s own wife now admits to his INABILITY, something all of us ALREADY know.
He’ a candidate as incapacitated as Biden who has full blown dementia, and Kamala Harris who is just plain stupid.

He should release all of his medical records regarding the stroke.

Being competant ought to be a requirement for working in government. This isn’t a game. But then half of Congress and our sitting President would be gone. When did mentally disabled individuals become acceptable, their not!

Well, democrats have a history of electing only the most mentally deficient (and that is a very low bar under which to crawl indeed) among them to public offices.

I wouldn’t vote for Fedderwoman.
Will my vote count the way I want it too? I’m not over the 2000 Mules or the way Dominion would drop 100,000 to 200,000 Trump votes at a time.
People act like we voted for this Biden lie, but we didn’t It was rigged. I don’t know if we can get out of this nightmarish democrat / liberal hole.

Fettermoron wasn’t fit for office while he could still formulate cogent thoughts. He certainly isn’t equal to the task now that he and FJB are splitting a bowl of for brains.

“Ableist” is a word the Left made up that tries to throw out the need to have any ability whatsoever to do a job.
We already KNOW Fettertard is disabled–both mentally and physically. What everyone wants to know is, WTH is that baseball-sized lump on his neck? Is it a parasitic alien controlling him? Atypical edema? His brain sliding out his skull and down his neck? A fatal cancer? A bionic speech translator that doesn’t work?
Are the only candidates for office that the Dems can find mental midgets without verbal skills of any kind? Biden blazed the trail for this–and proved that is NOT a path the country should follow!

Woke to the level of insanity. Is it “ableist” to “discriminate” against a paraplegic that wants to roof my house by himself, and demands all the money up front? A disability CAN eliminate the capacity for an individual to effectively do a job. NO “discrimination”… just common sense. Lacking the full capacity to communicate effectively, (both listening and speaking coherently) makes a person unsuitable as a Senator. Stunned that some are too stupid, or too woke (but I repeat myself) to comprehend that. Desperation apparent at this point.
