45th President Donald Trump responded to comments from Attorney General Merrick Garland, confirming his attorneys were “cooperating fully” with the Department of Justice before the FBI raid at his Mar-A-Lago home.
In a Thursday press conference, Attorney General Merrick Garland confirmed he personally ordered the FBI to raid Mar-a-Lago, the Florida residence of the Trump family.
Garland claimed that the Department of Justice does not take the decision to approve a search of residences lightly. “Where possible, it is standard practice to seek less intrusive means as an alternative to a search, and to narrowly scope any search that is undertaken,” Garland said.
However, in a post on Truth Social, Trump confirmed that both his attorneys and representatives were “cooperating fully” with the Department of Justice, adding that they had already established “very good relationships” before the raid.
“The government could have had whatever they wanted, if we had it,” wrote Trump. “Everything was fine, better than that of most previous Presidents, and then, out of nowhere and with no warning, Mar-a-Lago was raided, at 6:30 in the morning, by VERY large numbers of agents, and even ‘safecrackers.'”

Garland had also claimed without evidence that “copies of both the warrant and the FBI property receipt were provided on the day of the search to the former president’s counsel, who was on site during the search.”
In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Wednesday night, Trump attorney Lindsey Halligan said that the FBI “refused to talk” to her at Mar-A-Lago during the raid
“All I knew is that they were searching areas one, two, and three, which I understood to be the former president’s bedroom, his office, and a storage room,” Halligan said. “And other than that, we were not allowed to talk to them or go inside at all,” adding that they looked at “God knows what.”
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani further slammed Garland as a “disgrace to a great Department and honorable predecessors,” and argued that “to say the law is applied equally is a damn lie.”
Garland is a disgrace to a great Department and honorable predecessors.
To say the law is applied equally is a damn lie.
He is a consistent liar.
Would Eric Trump be walking free or Donald Trump; if there was a hard drive revealing 30 years of their selling public office.

“Would Eric Trump be walking free or Donald Trump; if there was a hard drive revealing 30 years of their selling public office,” he queried.
