45th President Donald Trump mocked the recent second “rebound” COVID-19 infection that has forced the current leader of the free world to quarantine.
Biden was first diagnosed with COVID-19 just over one week ago, a day after he confused Americans by declaring that he has cancer. He began testing negative for the virus by the middle of the week, and was once again attending events – though with a raspy voice that could be mistaken for a whisper – by Wednesday.
That changed on Saturday, when Biden was diagnosed with COVID-19 again. His doctor described it as a “rebound” infection and suggested it may have been caused by Paxlovid, a COVID-19 drug created by Pfizer.
Trump mocked Biden’s re-diagnosis in a post on his social media site, Truth Social, over the weekend.

“Joe Biden’s second bout of Covid, sometimes referred to as the China Virus, was sadly misdiagnosed by his doctors,” wrote Trump. “He instead has Dementia, but is happily recovering well.”
“Joe is thinking of moving, part time, to one of those beautiful Wisconsin Nursing Homes, where almost 100% of the residents miraculously, and for the first time in history, had the strength and energy to vote – even if those votes were cast illegally.” Trump concluded, “Get well soon, Joe!”

Trump’s jab against Biden comes after Biden mocked the 45th president’s diagnosis with the disease in 2020.
“When my predecessor got COVID, he had to get helicoptered to Walter Reed Medical Center,” said Biden. “He was severely ill.” Trump and White House officials have maintained that Trump’s bout with the disease with not uncommon or uncharacteristically severe.
Perhaps ironically, Biden went on to extol the virtues of COVID-19 vaccines and their ability to prevent – or reduce the severity of – COVID-19 infections.
His doctor indicated Paxlovid, a Pfizer created pill meant to lessen the symptoms of COVID-19, may be responsible. It has been linked to COVID-19 symptoms lying dormant until the patient is off the drug, when they again emerge.
Biden and those around him maintain that he is not experiencing symptoms from his “rebound” infection.
Joe Biden is 79-years-old. If he decides to run for reelection in 2024 and wins, he would be 82 when entering his second term.
