In his latest strange gaffe, former Vice President Joe Biden seemed to admit that he is not the President of the United States.
Speaking on Friday, Biden discussed the current state of the economy. “Most families are focused on putting three meals on the table, taking care of their kids, and paying their bills,” he explained at the White House.
“Helping you do that is my job,” he added. “That’s the president’s job as well.” It is unclear exactly why Biden separated himself from the Office of the President.

This was the second time that Biden had not referred to himself as president in two days. During a teleconference on the Inflation Reduction Act with reporters on Thursday, he instead described himself as the vice president.
“I did, I must admit total disclosure,” Biden said. “I’ve spoken to the chairwoman about the possibility of my being able to buy one of those corvettes that are electric vehicles that, you know, when they come out.”
He then added that he wouldn’t be able to do so, “because I can’t drive a vehicle while I’m vice president, while I’m president. Anymore than when I was vice president.”
For those keeping score, since becoming "president" Joe Biden has said:
• He is Vice President
• It is someone else's job to be president
• Kamala Harris is the First Lady
• Jill Biden was Obama's VP
• The First Husband is Kamala's wife
• Kamala Harris is the President— Kyle Becker (@kylenabecker) August 5, 2022
During Friday’s personal appearance, Biden added that the administration would make investments in “clean energy,” arguing that the “security of the country is at stake.”
“We’re going to save American families hundreds of dollars a year on paying their energy bills, by allowing them to have money to invest by allowing them to put in new windows and doors and solar panels and the like, and get tax credits for that,” he added.

Biden currently remains in isolation at the White House, having tested positive again for COVID-19, after his initial positive test last month. White House Press Secretary Karine-Jean Pierre declared that he would remain there until he tested negative, with the administration going “above and beyond” to ensure he is not infectious.
