U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said that Americans should be proud to represent an “America First,” “Christian” form of nationalism.
In an episode of her podcast, MTG Live, the Representative from Georgia said the media is guilty of an effort to “label” Christianity as “something bad” which people are “supposed to be scared of.” In fact, Christianity scares them, Greene argued, because the media is “losing control.”
“It’s the most peaceful religion on Earth. It brings hope to people who are lost. It brings change to their lives, it brings a focus back on the good things we all need to be doing every day,” Greene added.
They hate Christianity, and they hate nationalism, because they can’t control a nation of God-fearing America First patriots.

Another term that the media and Democrats now are going after is nationalism, Greene said. “Let me ask everyone. Is there something wrong with loving your country? No, absolutely not,” she continued, pointing out that “nationalism is a good thing”.
“It’s where all Americans should be. We should be wanting America First,” argued Greene. “We should be wanting our tax dollars, our focus, our legislation, our bills, and our leadership, focused on our nation.”
“We should be proud of nationalism, and we should be proud of an America First nationalism.” She added, “We should be most proud of Christianity.”
“If Christian nationalism is something to be scared of, they’re lying to you… on purpose, because that is exactly the temperature change that is happening in America today, and they can’t control it” Greene concluded, “That’s what terrifies them the most.”

A new movement of “Christian nationalism” would be a movement that “stops the school shootings, that stops the crime in our streets, that stops the sexual immorality” plaguing the country. “This will be the movement that protects kids’s innocence,” she concluded.
Rep. Paul Gosar praised the video from Greene in a post on Twitter. In reply, Greene reiterated that America First, Christian nationalism is a label that represents God and country.
“Oh yeah, I’m in,” she quipped.
A label for God and country.

Greene is not the only America First politician to embrace nationalism.
Newly Trump-endorsed U.S. Senate candidate Blake Masters released a new campaign advert this week where he proudly declared his love of America.
“The New York Times attacked me. They called me a nationalist. Got me! Guilty as charged,” Masters said.
“I love our country. Like President Trump, I want to secure our borders. And it’s about time the government put America first. Look, if the left-wing media and the Democrats don’t like it, bring it on. I’m not going to D.C. to make friends. I’m going to save this country.”

Last month, Greene was one of 57 Republican Representatives to oppose sending $40 billion to Ukraine, reminding lawmakers in her speech on the House floor that they should instead prioritise the needs of desperate Americans.
“The American people do not support paying for constant US involvement in foreign affairs while our own government fails our own country,” Greene said.
“Let me remind everyone here. We swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, and our borders, we should be paying attention to our country right now.”
