President Joe Biden stated on Friday that sometimes “us elected officials” learn something that makes them “viscerally angry, like if you had the person in front of you, you’d wanna pop ’em.”
The President’s remarks appeared to be in reference to shipping companies that increase the price of goods when they enter the United States.
“You know, I have to admit to you, a lot of us elected officials have been in office for awhile,” Biden said. “Every once in awhile, something you learn makes you viscerally angry. Like if you had the person in front of you, you’d wanna pop ’em.”
“No, I really mean it,” Biden continued, doubling down.

During the same speech, Biden referenced something called “the MAGA gang” that has “fundamentally different view of the role of government and who should pay what.”
I’ve worked with a lotta honorable Republicans, very conservative Republicans, over the years when I was a senator, but this is the MAGA gang,” Biden said. “This is the MAGA crowd. I really mean it. They have a fundamentally different view of the role of government and who should pay what.”
