Following the Supreme Court’s landmark decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attended pro-abortion protests and repeatedly ignored a reporter asking her to condemn political violence.

Mary Margaret Olohan, a Daily Wire reporter, asked Ocasio-Cortez to “condemn the violence proposed by pro-abortion groups” at least 9 times in a video posted to Twitter, with the far left Democrat repeatedly refusing to answer.

Initially, Ocasio-Cortez ignored the question and responded to a reporter’s question in Spanish. As she concluded answering, Olohan maneuvered closer to the representative, who looked in her direction, and asked her again. Ocasio-Cortez instead responded to a question about Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin.

“We’re taking your response to mean that you do not oppose the violence proposed by pro-abortion groups,” said Olohan. The reporter then managed to maneuver directly in front of Ocasio-Cortez to repeat her question, and was again ignored. She asked one more time as Ocasio-Cortez entered a staircase.

Today the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in a landmark 5-4 decision backed by the court’s conservative majority. Chief Justice John Roberts offered a concurring opinion that would have stopped short of overturning the precedent set by Roe.

Democrats in various states have already pledged to protect abortion, and some say House Democrats may attempt to create a federal law enshrining the right to abortion.

Some have given credit for the decision to 45th President Donald Trump, who famously promised to appoint conservative judges to the Supreme Court during his 2016 campaign. The three justices he appointed – Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, and Amy Coney Barrett – helped Justice Samuel Alito form the conservative majority needed to overturn the law.

Trump opted against taking credit when asked if he felt it was deserved by Fox News, instead telling the conservative cable network that “God made the decision” to overturn the controversial abortion case.

Some say the decision could open the door to reexamining other controversial court cases, which as Valiant News reported include “Griswold v. Connecticut, the right for married people to obtain contraceptives, Lawrence v. Texas, which protects homosexual relationships, and Obergefell v. Hodges, which legalised gay marriage across the country.”
