A clip of Vice President Kamala Harris sharing her thoughts on “yellow school buses” is being shared by conservatives this afternoon after she requested applause for the iconic vehicles for doing their job of getting “’em where they need to go.”
Harris made the remarks after saying that school buses should be made electric in an effort to reduce pollution. She then began describing the characteristics of school buses, then demanded applause and started laughing.
“I think about this subject of our yellow school buses in that regard,” said Harris. “Because think about it, yellow school buses are our nation’s largest form of mass transit. How about that?” “So yes, and let’s applaud, because it gets ’em where they need to go!” Harris said, before laughing.

The odd exchange quickly captured the attention of conservative commentators.
“Is whatever Biden has…contagious,” wrote journalist and pundit Jon Miller. “Wut” added The Columbia Bugle.
A third person had a different request. “I need to know who the sole individual clapping is.”

Harris’s popularity has sagged alongside Joe Biden’s, with the Vice President recently polling worse than her boss among key demographics.
Conservatives often point toward Harris’s apparent lack of interest in the crisis at the southern border, despite previously being appointed by the administration to enact its immigration policy.
On the left, Harris is sometimes criticized for her inconsistencies in various pop culture interviews. As a prosecutor, Harris routinely imprisoned black men for low level drug offenses despite herself admitting to using marijuana during one such interview.
More recently, yesterday Harris raised eyebrows when she suggested, without evidence, that the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade will lead to bans of contraception and gay marriage.
