First Lady Jill Biden revealed to Harper’s Bazaar this week that she argues with President Joe Biden and calls him names via text message so the Secret Service doesn’t catch on to the fact that they are feuding.
“The president does not get a pass,” the Harper’s Bazaar article says of Jill’s frustrations. “During the Obama years, they took to hashing out their occasional spats over text to avoid fighting in front of the Secret Service. (They christened it ‘fexting.’)”
“Not so long ago, she tapped out a message to him in a fit of pique,” the article continues.
“Joe said, ‘You realize that’s going to go down in history. There will be a record of that,'” Jill reportedly said, grinning. “I won’t tell you what I called him that time.”
The story notes that Jill “fumes when she thinks about the enduring inequalities that have kept women out of the workforce or from reaching their full potential.”
“I understand a woman’s need to have something for herself,” Jill declared.
Joe Biden claimed earlier this month that his wife, Dr. First Lady Jill Biden, has an issue with him being of Irish descent and will “get mad” at him when he mentions his heritage.
He then stated that he was “only joking” and “teasing.”
“You know, you were telling the story, Jill was gonna get mad at me for reminding [unintelligible], I happen to be Irish,” Biden said. “It’s a problem sometimes with Jill, but I’m only joking.”
Joe complained about Jill during the White House Easter Event after she ordered him to “just stay,” announcing to the audience, “She’s telling me ‘just sit, don’t move.’”
At one point Joe appeared to be contemplating standing up and leaving, and Jill ordered him, “Just stay.”
“She tells me, ‘just sit, don’t move,’” Biden told the audience. “She’s the teacher.”
“I’m the teacher,” Jill agreed.
