Biden is importing baby formula from Germany to address the nationwide shortage

The United States is relying  on foreign countries to provide baby formula, with Joe Biden celebrating after activating the U.S. military and several branches of government to send German baby formula to Indiana.

Apparently “Operation Fly Formula” began yesterday by picking up formula in Germany that was scheduled to fly back to the United States. That formula is now reaching Indiana, according to Joe Biden’s Twitter account, and the White House is celebrating the military-flight importation of German baby formula as a win.

“Operation Fly Formula is loaded up with more than 70,000 pounds of infant formula and about to land in Indiana,” the Twitter account revealed earlier today. It insisted that “our team is working around the clock” to distribute the formula to those in need.

Previously, the White House released a statement explaining that distraught mothers could soon look forward to receiving foreign assistance.

“To speed up the import of infant formula and get more formula to stores as soon as possible,” the administration “directed the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to use Department of Defense (DOD) commercial aircraft to pick up overseas infant formula that meets U.S. health and safety standards” and sent it to the United States.

The Department of Defense “will use its contracts with commercial air cargo lines, as it did to move materials during the early months of the COVID pandemic,” to better respond to the emergency.

It’s unclear how long the United States will be reliant on foreign goods shipped by the military to feed its youngest children.

Former Press Secretary previously attempted to downplay the nationwide baby formula shortage, telling the media that her circle is much more interested in face masks and vaccinating children.

Still, Google search interest for baby formula substitutes is spiking, with the most searches ever recorded. Republicans, too, have seized on the issue.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed Congress for voting to send $40 billion to Ukraine while in the midst of a nationwide baby formula shortage.

45th President Donald Trump, who some expect is planning to announce a 2024 presidential campaign after the midterms, called it a “national disgrace.”

“It is unthinkable that in the year 2022 American families are unable to get baby formula for their children,” Trump said in a statement. “Families whose children have serious allergies and require ‘elemental’ formula are in even more desperate and dire straits.”

“The pain that mothers and fathers are going through who literally cannot get nutrition for their newborns and infants is a mark of eternal shame on the Democrat Party.”
