Liberals online are incredibly upset that Elon Musk has purchased Twitter and is about to turn it into a private entity, claiming that the South African-born billionaire is a violent, racist, fascist who loves to spread misinformation.
As Valiant News reported, Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion, at a price of $54.20 a share, after he said that the Big Tech platform had to become private in order to ensure that free speech and democracy would be protected.
“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Musk said. “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features,” he added, concluding that “Twitter has tremendous potential.”
However, given his commitment to protecting free speech, blue check verified liberals and others declared that not only were they set to leave the platform, but that Musk would be set to unleash waves of violent incel racism onto Twitter.
That’s it that seals the deal. I’m no longer a twitter user. I’ve been a user since 2021 and have never been more disgusted. I officially will be deactivating my account. I’m going to Instagram where they know how to run a platform.

Other liberals started to become concerned about the fact that Musk would spread “misinformation” on the platform, which has had a history of removing “fake news” that didn’t sit well with mainstream outlets, such as the coronavirus lab leak theory.
I still think Elon Musk owning Twitter is a bad idea. He will amplify racists, bigots, and misinformation. He is a bad-faith actor with his distorted views of free speech and censorship.

Blue check users, such as former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich, highlighted the fact that Twitter should now be publicly regulated rather than remain under the whims of one owner, despite having previously argued that Twitter, as a private company, could ban anybody it likes.
If you believe in free speech, you should oppose Elon Musk's attempt to buy Twitter. If he's successful, it would put extraordinary power into the hands of one man.

In one of the most egregious posts written after Musk’s purchase, self proclaimed “antiracist educator” Tim Wise said that liberals will will have to resort to physical means to “deal with Nazis,” citing the African American billionaire’s stance on free speech.
