Self proclaimed “antiracist educator” Tim Wise said that liberals will will have to resort to physical means to “deal with Nazis” after Elon Musk bought Twitter, citing the African American billionaire’s stance on free speech.
Tim Wise, an activist and writer who has advised universities and written books about race relations, took to Twitter to condemn Musk and his free speech stance.
“F**k Elon Musk. Apartheid Baby,” wrote Wise, condemning Musk for being born in South Africa. “I’m saying this on your platform now and will keep saying it.”
He then suggested that his haranguing may force Musk to reconsider his stance on freedom of speech. Musk has described himself as a “free speech absolutist.”
“Let’s see how committed you are to free speech when we start roasting your ass,” wrote the “antiracism” expert.
He then compared the plight of modern liberals to that of the Greatest Generation who fought genocidal dictator Adolf Hitler in the 1940s.
“We’re gonna have to deal with Nazis the way our grandparents,” wrote Wise, “because Elon Musk is gonna let them say what they want in the name of free speech.”
Wise added, cryptically, “Cool, there are other options…”

Wise, who is Jewish, claims that his family’s synagogue was attacked by white supremacists when he was 12.
He worked at the Louisiana Coalition Against Racism and Nazism, the Louisiana Coalition for Tax Justice, the Louisiana’s Worker’s Union, and Agenda for Children.
More recently, Wise advised the Frisk University Race Relations Institute and starred in the 2013 documentary “White Like Me”, which was based on his book by the same name.
Musk bought Twitter today for $44 billion. He intends to take the company private, and has previously said he will reduce Twitter board salaries to $0, in a statement many interpreted to be a promise to fire the board members who worked to prevent his purchase.
