U.S. House candidate Laura Loomer (FL-11) joined Valiant News Associate Editor Jack Hadfield to give her thoughts on how Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis could do better, the media’s infatuation with AFPAC, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky comparing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to the Holocaust.
Zelensky spoke to the Israeli Knesset last week, as part of his tour around global parliaments to drum up support of his country during the current invasion.
Loomer, who is Jewish, told to Hadfield that he was “catering his message in an appeal to the audience to get and aid and funding.”
During his speech, Zelensky compared what was happening in Ukraine to the Holocaust.
Israeli communications minister Yoaz Hendel said at the time that while he “supports the Ukrainian people in heart and deed,” the “comparison to the horrors of the Holocaust and the final solution is outrageous.” A flurry of current and former Israeli politicians condemned Zelensky’s remarks.
“We shouldn’t be pushing for war, and it’s inappropriate for the media and politicians to be shutting down legitimate political discourse surrounding this conflict.”

Loomer said that it was “totally inappropriate” for Zelensky to make the Holocaust comparison. “It’s tragic what is happening, obviously I condemn the killing of innocent people,” she noted.
“But at the same time, we don’t need to be making historical relativism remarks with the Holocaust every single time there’s a tragedy that takes place around the world,” said Loomer.
“There’s a really big difference between a few thousand people being killed, and 6 million Jews.”

Loomer added that it was important not to forget that 200,000 Jews were killed in Ukraine during the Holocaust as well.
“That convenient fact is being brushed under the table as well during this plea to Israel,” Loomer charged, before noting that members of Israeli’s governing body condemned the remark.
“One of them, the leader of the Zionist Party, brought that up,” said Loomer. “The slaughter of 200,000 Jews in Ukraine.”
Hadfield asked Loomer about the presence of the Neo-Nazi Azov Battalion, with some Western media offering the outfit praise for fighting the Russians in Ukraine.
“They condemn people for bringing these facts up,” Loomer said.
She added that the media wants Americans “to have one viewpoint and one opinion” about Ukraine, and will “shut people down” if they pose questions “about financial transparency with US aid, or anyone bringing up the ethical dilemma that arises with the funding of several Neo-Nazi batallions.”
“We shouldn’t be pushing for war,” said Loomer. “It’s inappropriate for the media and politicians to be shutting down legitimate political discourse surrounding this conflict.”
Russia invaded Ukraine last month amid a years long standoff over the disputed Donbass region. Russia claims it launched a “special military operation” to protect ethnic Russians from Ukrainian state violence, while Ukraine and most of the international community say Russia’s invasion was unprovoked.

Last month, Loomer attended the America First Political Action Conference as VIP guest, run by Nick Fuentes, who the media have accused of being an anti-Semite and a white nationalist.
“I guess it would be the first time I ever heard of Nazis giving a VIP badge to a Jew right?” Loomer joked. “It’s just laughable.”
“The Big Tech bill was a bunch of garbage.”

The Florida congressional candidate highlighted that there were many people of all backgrounds attending the conference, and slammed the “fascist shutdown of political discourse” where the media attemps to cancel “everybody and anybody who supports the America First agenda,” such as Idaho Liutenant Governor Janice McGeachin, who spoke with Valiant News last week.
“I’m not a fan of cancel culture and I won’t be apologising for attending AFPAC, and I don’t think anybody should be apologising,” Loomer argued.
“You don’t have to condemn someone to be an adult and have discernment in what you believe in or what you don’t believe in. Do I agree with everything that every one of the speakers there has ever said or done?” Loomer answered, “Not necessarily, but do I share a common political affiliation and a political ideology 90 or 95% of the time with most of the people who were there? Yes.”

With her first run for Congress, Loomer became the first deplatformed congressional candidate in US history, having been booted off of Twitter and other Big Tech platforms.
Florida legislation introduced last year that was designed to protect candidates in the state from Big Tech interference would not do anything to help her, or 45th President Donald Trump if he ran again in 2024, as there is no measure calling for retroactive enforcement.
Loomer has highlighted this previously, and Hadfield asked her to elucidate her views.
“The Big Tech bill was a bunch of garbage,” Loomer argued, highlighting that the bill is not retroactive. “We do live in a more free state than other and [DeSantis] is probably the most popular governor in the country, the reality is that there are still restrictions on freedom in Florida, and some of them prevented an adequate bill from actually manifesting.”
The U.S. House candidate also offered criticism for DeSantis, who she said she likes and voted for multiple times. She said that his actions on Big Tech prove he “obviously has presidential aspirations” and is offering “red meat for the base.”
“You go on Tucker Carlson, you tell the base what you want to hear, ‘oooh Big Tech is bad,'” said Loomer. “Guess what? Florida is the only state in the nation where the only sitting United States President was deplatformed and nothing was done about it, and Florida remains the only state in the nation where the only deplatformed candidate in the nation remains deplatformed.”
