The House committee lead by Rep. Harry Loudermilk (R-GA) has refuted the scandalous claims made by a star witness of the Jan. 6 commission regarding President Trump’s actions on the day of the Capitol protests.
The report, released today, sheds light on damning testimony from the driver of the presidential limousine and other sources that contradict ex-aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s account. The driver’s testimony, made in November 2022, was hidden from the public by the Jan. 6 committee.
Hutchinson had previously claimed that President Trump “lunged” at Secret Service agents and yelled, “I’m the f—ing president! Take me up to the Capitol now!” before attempting to seize control of the steering wheel from the driver.
However, the House report reveals that the driver of the presidential limousine, known as “the Beast,” testified that he “specifically refuted” this version of events.
BREAKING: The driver of the Beast on January 6 testified to the J6 committee that President Trump never physically assaulted secret service agents or lunged for the steering wheel when they refused to take him to the Capitol.

According to the report, the driver stated, “The driver testified that he ‘did not see him reach [redacted]. [President Trump] never grabbed the steering wheel. I didn’t see him, you know, lunge to try to get into the front seat at all.’” This testimony directly contradicts the narrative presented by Hutchinson and the Jan. 6 select committee.
Furthermore, the House report found that the Jan. 6 select committee “hid the driver’s full testimony and only favorably mentioned his testimony in its Final Report, it did not release the full transcript.” This revelation raises concerns about the committee’s transparency and impartiality in its investigation of the events surrounding the Capitol riot.
The House GOP report’s findings have significant implications for the ongoing public discourse surrounding the events of Jan. 6 and the role of President Trump. It remains to be seen how these revelations will impact the broader understanding of the Capitol riot and the actions of those involved.
