On Monday, January 15, 2024, the Iowa Caucus took place, and former President Donald Trump emerged as the victor with a landslide win. Following this impressive victory, fellow Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy announced that he was suspending his campaign and endorsing Trump for the presidency.
Ramaswamy, a successful entrepreneur and author, entered the race with a focus on restoring America’s national identity and promoting a “new American dream.” Despite his best efforts, he finished fourth in the Iowa Caucus, securing 8% of the vote.
In a statement following the caucus, Ramaswamy congratulated Trump on his victory and announced his decision to drop out of the race. He said, “I called Donald Trump to tell him that I congratulate him on his victory. And now going forward, he will have my full endorsement for the presidency.”
Ramswamy also announced that he will be joining Donald Trump on the campaign trail, and will appear with Trump at a rally on Tuesday.

The endorsement from Ramaswamy comes at a critical time in the race for the Republican nomination. With Trump’s strong showing in the Iowa Caucus and Ramaswamy’s endorsement, the former president is well-positioned to build on his momentum and secure the nomination.
As the race for the Republican nomination continues, it remains to be seen how this endorsement will impact the other candidates and the overall dynamics of the race. One thing is clear, however: Donald Trump’s victory in the Iowa Caucus and the subsequent endorsement from Vivek Ramaswamy have solidified his position as the frontrunner for the Republican nomination.
