Tucker Carlson took on the issue of dementia and senility among America’s federal ruling class in a new video released on the social media platform X on Monday.
“Another half-demented 80-year-old yelling about things he doesn’t understand,” Carlson said in the video’s caption. “These are our leaders. They don’t care about our future because they don’t have one of their own.”
Carlson went on to excoriate former US Secretary of State John Kerry for the latter’s extremist statements about fossil fuels and coal power plants.

Carlson’s critiques primarily center around the idea that the current ruling class views America as “something outdated they can profit from,” according to his book “Ship of Fools: How a Selfish Ruling Class is Bringing America to the Brink of Revolution.” He suggests that the ruling class, much like a private equity firm, sizes up America as an aging conglomerate ripe for exploitation.
In his narrative, the ruling class is seen to have “total contempt” for ordinary citizens, viewing them as mere tools for their profit-making ventures. This resonates with many Americans who feel overlooked by the political elites and fuels the growing divide between the populace and the ruling class.
Carlson’s critique isn’t restricted to the economic aspect. He argues that traditional liberals are gone, replaced by a new breed of overlords who are disconnected from the realities that ordinary citizens face. This viewpoint suggests a shift in the political climate, where the ruling class is more concerned about their interests rather than the welfare of the people they serve.
