Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson in his latest episode of “Tucker on Twitter” defended 45th President Donald Trump and made the case that the president’s ongoing legal troubles are rooted in his promise to end foreign wars and globalist entanglements.
Tucker noted, “Donald Trump made a blood enemy of the largest and most powerful organization in human history, which would be the federal government,” when he took an anti-war stance during his first 2016 presidential run on February 16.
The former Fox News host focused on clip of Trump calling out the Bush family over the Iraq War in 2016, which he called a “mistake.” According to Carlson, it was this condemnation of Washington, D.C. foreign policy that incensed the political class and ultimately led to this week’s criminal indictment from Joe Biden’s Department of Justice.
“We should have never been in Iraq. We have destabilized the Middle East. They lied. They said there were weapons of mass destruction. There were none, and they knew there were none!” Trump said in the clip.

According to Carlson, the permanent Washington establishment saw Trump as a threat and hated him “for exposing them.”
Touching on Trump’s indictment, Carlson accused Joe Biden of “using law enforcement to lock up his chief rival” because he “dissents from Washington’s long-standing pointless war agenda.”
“In this life, we don’t get to choose our martyrs,” Carlson added.
Carlson is one of many popular conservative figures who have defended the 45th President in the wake of the Biden administration’s unprecedented legal attack against him.
In a reported effort to silence the popular newsman, Fox News recently issued a cease and desist, ordering him to immediately stop production of “Tucker on Twitter” or face a legal challenge from the network. Carlson was fired by Fox News earlier this year as part of a reported legal settlement between the cable network and Dominion Voting Systems.
Valiant News reported yesterday that Republican candidate for president Vivek Ramaswamy called on all other presidential candidates to pledge to pardon Trump if elected president one again, or else explain to the public why they wouldn’t.
I challenge every US Presidential candidate to join me in standing for TRUTH. Commit to pardon Donald Trump for these federal charges on Day 1, or explain why you won’t. No one should hide. Not Biden. Not DeSantis. Not Haley. Not Pence. Not RFK. Not Scott. Not anyone. Principles… pic.twitter.com/qYP3fUrE5R
— Vivek Ramaswamy (@VivekGRamaswamy) June 13, 2023
Speaking in Miami hours before Trump would be indicted, Ramaswamy proclaimed:
“I have challenged, I have demanded, that every other candidate in this race, either sign this commitment to pardon on January 20th 2025, or else to explain why they are not.”
“If you’re not going to pardon President Trump in January 2025, you deserve to say why, and we will hold you accountable, just as we’re holding the Biden administration accountable,” he added. “That’s what we need more of in this country. Honesty, integrity, and actual purpose for our country in a way that puts America first, not our political interests first.”
