In an interview marking the first episode of political consultant Roger Stone’s new show on WABC Radio this weekend, 45th President Donald Trump accused Florida Governor Ron DeSantis of putting his audiences to sleep with low energy speeches in North Carolina and Georgia.
Throughout the the interview, Trump touted his undeniable lead against Joe Biden in most political polls, remarked on DeSantis’ low support among 2024 Republican voters, talked foreign policy, and promised to Make America Great Again.
“Well, I think that he’s doing very poorly,” said Trump of the Florida Governor-turned 2024 presidential contender. “He has a personality problem. He’s got none.”

Touching on his endorsement of DeSantis in the 2018 Florida GOP gubernatorial primary, Trump noted: “I can’t tell you how strongly he begged me.”
When he received Trump’s endorsement, the former president noted, “He went like a rocket ship up…and he ended up winning in a landslide.”
The 45th President added that DeSantis failed to energize the crowds in North Carolina and Georgia, where the governor stopped to deliver campaign remarks last week.

“If you watched in North Carolina, if you watched yesterday or Georgia, he made a speech and everybody fell asleep,” said Trump.
DeSantis would have never won his gubernatorial bid without his support, Trump noted, adding that the governor’s refusal to sit out of the 2024 race was an act of betrayal.

“This guy’s going to run. So I consider it very disloyal, and I’m not a fan of his,” he said, noting that Florida has become a popular haven for Republicans due to the state’s desirable weather and climate, rather than DeSantis’ leadership.
“Anybody at Florida. You have the sun, you have the ocean, you have a great state, you have a great work ethic,” he said.
