JP Morgan Chase & Co. has reportedly settled their lawsuit alleging that the company “knowingly benefited” from Jeffrey Epstein’s international prolific human trafficking operation for nearly $300 million, Bloomberg reported.
According to the report, JP Morgan reached an “agreement in principle” in settling the proposed class action lawsuit filed by an unnamed victim of Epstein last year, who goes by “Jane Doe.”
“The parties believe this settlement is in the best interests of all parties, especially the survivors who were the victims of Epstein’s terrible abuse,” JP Morgan said in a recent statement.
“We all now understand that Epstein’s behaviour was monstrous,” lawyers for JP Morgan said. “Any association with him was a mistake and we regret it. We would never have continued to do business with him if we believed he was using our bank in any way to help commit heinous crimes.”

Jaime Dimon, the head of JP Morgan, insisted that they regret their affiliation with the disgraced human trafficker.
“Any association with him was a mistake and we regret it. We would never have continued to do business with him if we believed he was using our bank in any way to help commit heinous crimes,” he said.
JP Morgan’s rumored $290 million settlement with Jane Doe comes amid a separate lawsuit brought by the U.S. Virgin Islands, which alleges that they had a private retreat where Epstein, a convicted pedophile, would frequent alongside his victims.

Epstein reportedly kept hundreds of millions of dollars in more than 50 accounts with JP Morgan between the years of 1998 and 2013, long after he had pleaded guilty to pedophile crimes.
The human trafficker was suspiciously found dead in an apparent “suicide” at the age of 66 in a prison cell in 2019 while awaiting his human trafficking trial.
