Last night 45th President Donald Trump revealed that federal prosecutors informed his legal team he has been indicted over claims he mishandled documents he unclassified at the end of his first term in office. After issuing statements, recording a video for supporters, and unleashing his legal team on the mainstream media, the former president reportedly spent the evening playing disc jockey for his close supporters.
Trump declared the United States “a nation in decline” before staunchly defending his innocence in what he termed “the boxes hoax.”
“I’m an innocent man, I’m an innocent person,” said Trump in a video posted to Truth Social. “This is what they do, this is what they do so well. If they would devote their energy to honesty and integrity, it would be a lot better for our country.”

The video was recorded at Trump’s golf course and residence in Bedminster, New Jersey, where the New York Times reports the former president and current front runner for the Republican nomination was surrounded by his close advisors, supporters, and a small number of his legal team.
After recording the video and urging his Republican allies to issue statements, Trump reportedly rejoined his guests and, armed with his iPad, began one of his favorite pass times: He became the venue’s disc jockey. From the New York Times:
Wearing a red Make America Great Again cap, he again acted as a D.J., according to a person there, using an iPad to play some of his favorites: Elvis, the opera singer Pavarotti and his idol in showmanship, James Brown.
Trump reportedly did the same on the night of his New York indictment, in which Alvin Bragg claims he misrepresented the value of real estate owned by the Trump Organization in business paperwork. The Times reported in April:
Sitting with a group that included his daughter Tiffany and her husband, as well as his longest-serving adviser, Roger J. Stone Jr., Mr. Trump used an iPad to choose the music blaring over speakers: “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” by James Brown — one of Mr. Trump’s favorite performers — “Macho Man” by the Village People and the national anthem sung by a choir of inmates arrested after storming the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
That night was far from the first time Trump reportedly entertained his guests with his musical tastes, and video has surfaced that appears to show the former president – armed with his iPad – dance in his seat to the Village People’s “YMCA”.

Last month, after Trump canceled an Iowa rally due to weather fears, he and a cadre of close supporters and high profile social media influencers returned to Mar-a-Lago, where Twitter aficionado @ALX reported the former president played music for them on the patio until midnight.
Yesterday, I was invited to attend Donald Trump’s Iowa Rally aboard Trump Force One with @DC_Draino & some others. Unfortunately due to weather, the rally was cancelled — but 45 had a backup plan. He invited us all back to Mar-a-Lago for lunch. (I was underdressed but Trump said… pic.twitter.com/I8d30YIvh8
