45th President Donald Trump says some of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ most wealthy “globalist” financial supporters are “calling” him to no avail, as presidential polling support for the governor dramatically decreases in the wake of Trump’s potentially incoming indictment by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
Seemingly in a public reaction to the Florida Governor claiming he had “no interest” in Trump’s legal battle against prosecutors in New York and laughing it off as not a “real issue,” the former president has seen a sharp increase in support from Republicans with respects to becoming the Republican nominee for President in 2024, whereas Republican support for DeSantis is sinking.
“Ron DeSanctimonious’ Political Consultants are failing to rescue his sinking ship. He can’t move without them, it takes him forever to make a decision, and they’re charging him and his Globalist Donors a fortune,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post this week.
“Ron’s Poll Numbers are “crashing” at a record pace, he is being abandoned by his most “loyal” people, and I’m sure he’s planning to ask for all of his money back from his Establishment RINO Advisors who are good at one thing, sucking the piggy bank dry!” the 45th president added.
Trump, in a separate post, claimed that due to the governor’s sagging polling, major financial backers of DeSantis are now “calling” him, and added that he’s been ignoring their efforts.
“Ron DeSanctimonious thought he could run for President despite his less than average numbers on COVID, Crime, and Education. Florida was successful long before DeSanctis got there. You just can’t get away with voting to cut Social Security, raise the minimum age to 70, and then vote to obliterate Medicare—three times each,” Trump wrote.
“His Polls are crashing, and some of his biggest financial backers, Globalists all, are calling me now, but I don’t take their calls—No Interest!”
Further separating himself from Trump in the eyes of voters, this week DeSantis was accused of flip flopping on the question of escalating U.S. involvement in Ukraine, claiming that his past non-interventionist remarks about the Eastern European country’s conflict with Russia were “mischaracterized.”
In a written statement provided to Fox News host Tucker Carlson, DeSantis had previously characterized Ukraine’s war as a “territorial dispute” and claimed that the U.S. should not escalate tensions with Russia in order to focus on domestic problems at home.
Sad that it only took DeSantis a few days to completely flip-flop on Ukraine. He's quickly proving that he's too weak to stand up to the pressure from the establishment and just totally owned and controlled by his RINO donors. https://t.co/Te9X854gDd

Now, he’s walking that statement back, and instead adopting a more neoconservative view on the issue, compared to President Trump, who repeatedly warned that U.S. involvement in Ukraine will drag the country into a Third World War, and promised to work to resolve the conflict if elected in 2024.
