The 45th President of the United States turned up the heat in his recent criticisms of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, likening him to former House Speaker Paul Ryan and Sen. Mitt Romney.

Before heading to Davenport, Iowa to deliver remarks just three days after DeSantis paid the area a visit, President Donald Trump put out an official campaign video downplaying the current governor’s role in Florida’s overall success.

“For those of you that didn’t notice, Florida was doing great long before Ron ‘DeSanctus’ got there,” the 45th President said. “Sunshine and ocean are very alluring. It’s not too hard to work with those factors.”

“It’s not because of the governor, Florida was doing fantastically. You had a governor named Rick Scott who did a very good job. Even had Charlie Crist, a Democrat, did a good job and he had good numbers,” said President Trump of DeSantis’ 2022 gubernatorial opponent.

Later on Monday evening, President Trump slammed the Florida governor for voting against protecting social security, medicare, and ethanol while he served as a Florida congressman prior to ascending to the Governor’s mansion.

“He’s strongly opposed to ethanol and fought against it at every turn, and he’s going to do it again,” said President Trump. “He may do something politically, but he was very very bad on ethanol. He fought it all the way and he also fought against social security.”

“He wanted to decimate it and voted against it three times. Voted against social security, that’s a bad one. A lot of people don’t know that but I think they’ve been finding out over the last four weeks. One of the reasons we’re zooming in the polls perhaps,” he added.

The 45th President then accused DeSantis of being a “disciple” of former House Speaker Paul Ryan, who President Trump called a “RINO loser.”

“Ron was a disciple of Paul Ryan,” said President Trump as his supporters booed Ryan’s name. “Who is a RINO loser who currently is currently destroying Fox and would constantly vote against entitlements. He would just vote against them,” said the former President.

President Trump said Ryan was largely responsible for Romney’s failed 2012 presidential run.

“Paul Ryan is a big reason that Mitt Romney, I’m not a big fan of Mitt Romney, lost his election. And to be honest with you, Ron reminds me a lot of Mitt Romney! So I don’t think you’re going to be doing so well here,” said President Trump.

I have grown so tired of Trump’s constant railing and disrespect for others, who disagree with him. I especially find his on-going vicious comments about DeSantis the final straw from a man who needs to talk more about what he can do, than bad about his opponent. And I voted for him twice, but never again.
