A seemingly unhinged panel of women on ABC’s “The View” this week accused Fox News host Tucker Carlson of recruiting “domestic terrorists” by contradicting the January 6 Committee’s “insurrection” narrative and reporting on previously suppressed Capitol surveillance footage.
During the episode, Whoopi Goldberg found herself puzzled as to why the conservative Fox News journalist was legally allowed to report on things that contradict what the government claims about January 6.
“I have a question, I have a question. How come this is not thought of as being recruiting? How come they’re not thinking about this radicalizing. Why is this not being scrutinized the way that they scrutinize other things?” the host pondered.
Goldberg then claimed that First Amendment-protected reporting should be criminalized and accused Carlson of “knowingly” misleading his viewers.
Today on ‘The View’, Whoopi Goldberg compared Tucker Carlson reporting on J6 Footage to “recruiting” domestic terrorists and said it “should be against the law.”

“Because to me, this should be against the law. You should not be able to lie to the American people knowingly. You know it’s one thing if you made a mistake and you didn’t know,” she said.
“But we’ve heard for five or six years now, you know, the media was a lying sack of doo. They were fake news. They were this. So how come? What is our… what do we do as Americans to say this is not okay? The first amendment doesn’t allow you to willingly lie. To me, that should be illegal.”
“It should be illegal,” concurred ‘The View’ host Sunny Hostin.
“Knowingly. That’s the whole point. You can make a mistake and say something. It happens. And people say, ‘Oh, that wasn’t right.’ But you knew… you knew, you knew, you knew. And you know people are still listening to you and you are still lying. And I hope that the DOJ looks through a whole bunch of stuff and figures out what to do about this,” Goldberg added.
Hostin then made note that the Christopher Wray, the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) claimed that the gravest homeland security threat facing the United States was “domestic terrorism,” claiming that Carlson and 45th President Donald Trump are “recruiting” them by holding rallies and spreading “misinformation.”

Carlson on Monday night’s episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” released previously suppressed security footage from the grounds of the U.S. Capitol building on January 6 that purportedly showed U.S. Capitol Police officers nonchalantly escorting a now-incarcerated Jacob Chansley around the Capitol complex and into the Senate chamber.
Chansley, a 33-year old Navy veteran, was nicknamed “QAnon Shaman” among members of the corporate press for the face paint, fur hat, and viking-style horns he wore to the protest in 2021.
“Virtually every moment of his time inside the Capitol was caught on tape,” said Carlson of the footage. “The tapes show the Capitol Police never stopped Jacob Chansley. They helped him. They acted as his tour guides.”
