Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is calling for the full and total release of all 41,000 hours of January 6 Capitol security footage to the public, along with a “complete catalog” of all “feds” who were secretly present among the election integrity protestors that day.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Monday night’s episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” released previously suppressed security footage from the grounds of the U.S. Capitol building on January 6 that purportedly shows U.S. Capitol Police officers nonchalantly escorting peaceful protesters around the Capitol complex and into the Senate chamber.
In his monologue prior to showcasing the videos, Carlson said that federal assets may have been acting as agent provocateurs covertly inciting violence among members of the protesting crowd.
“For more than two years, we have wondered why some in the crowd that day who seemed to be inciting violence were never indicted for it. We assumed these were federal agents of some sort. We still assume that,” Carlson said on his show prior to releasing the tapes.
“In fact, there were many examples of behavior that we saw in those tapes that didn’t seem to make sense. Men in civilian clothes holding doors open for protestors, escorting others through the Capitol, ecettera. We would love to know who those people were.”

Following the footage release, Massie appeared on Carlson’s show and demanded that all 44,000 hours of surveillance footage from the Capitol on January 6 be available to the public. Subsequently, the Congressman from Kentucky called for a list of “all of the feds who were there” that day.
“You’ve exposed so many lies tonight with these tapes. It’s changed my perception of what happened two years ago and I was there. The tapes of people milling peacefully about,” Massie told Carlson.
“The [tapes] need to be released. In fact, there was a Rasmussen poll that just came out that showed over 80 percent, 76 percent of Democrats and 86 percent of Republicans, say that the video should be released and they should,” the Congressman said.
The congressman also called for a “complete catalog of all of the feds who were there.”
“Tell us who they were, let’s watch the videos and let’s see what they did because there’s some really strange behavior on those videos of people behind the police lines in plain clothes like, touching them on the shoulder, talking in their ear, walking around boundaries as if they weren’t even there,” Massie continued.

Massie reminded viewers that he had questioned Biden administration Attorney General Merrick Garland about suspected federal asset Ray Epps before the official refused to say if there were any undercover federal law enforcement officers present within the crowd during the protest.

“57 percent of Democrats think that it’s at least somewhat likely that feds, agents of the federal government, were not just there, but were also encouraging people to riot or go into the Capitol,” he added.
In a separate reaction to the footage, 45th President Donald Trump called for the prosecution of congressional January 6 Committee members for “their lies and, quite frankly, TREASON!”
“LET THE JANUARY 6 PRISONERS GO. THEY WERE CONVICTED, OR ARE AWAITING TRIAL, BASED ON A GIANT LIE, A RADICAL LEFT CON JOB,” the former president wrote. “THANK YOU TO TUCKER CARLSON AND SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE KEVIN McCARTHY FOR WHAT YOU BOTH HAVE DONE. NEW VIDEO FOOTAGE IS IRREFUTABLE!!!”
