Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims the use of gas stoves leads to “reduced cognitive performance” despite herself being a gas stove chef herself.
As the Biden administration reportedly weighs a nationwide ban on gas stoves in American homes, Rep. Ronny Jackson Tuesday morning vowed to never relinquish his own.
“I’ll NEVER give up my gas stove,” wrote Jackson, who is also the former White House physician to Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump. “If the maniacs in the White House come for my stove, they can pry it from my cold dead hands. COME AND TAKE IT!!”

Later that evening, Ocasio-Cortez replied to Rep. Jackson’s tweet claiming that gas stoves cause a decline in brain function because they supposedly release nitrogen dioxide.
“Did you know that ongoing exposure to NO2 from gas stoves is linked to reduced cognitive performance,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

It is unclear if the far-left New York Congresswoman was referring to her own reduced cognitive performance, as users online quickly pointed out that she had previously posted videos of herself using a gas stove.

Jackson responded to her remarks on Wednesday morning by posting an image of the very stove that was featured in her videos, tweeting “@aoc says gas stoves cause ‘reduced cognitive performance’ – yet she uses a gas stove?”
“Is this a self diagnosis? AOC, as a medical doctor, I can tell you this: what’s wrong with your head IS NOT caused by stoves. Something WAY BIGGER is causing your decreased cognitive function!” Jackson added.

According to numerous reports, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is considering a ban on gas stoves over potential “health risks associated with indoor air pollution,” favoring a nationwide switch to electric heating elements.
“Gas stoves can emit dangerous [levels] of toxic chemicals—even when not in use—and @USCPSC will consider all approaches to regulation,” U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. tweeted on Monday.
The move comes as the Biden administration continues to effectively attack the fossil fuel industry through strict regulatory policies, claiming that the U.S. is moving in the direction of “green energy.”
