‘VISIBLY SHAKEN’: Elon Musk Reportedly Fires First Round of Twitter Employees

Reports say fired Twitter employees are seen “visibly shaken” while carrying their belongings out of the building in cardboard boxes

African-American billionaire Elon Musk may have walked back his pledge to fire 75% of Twitter employees after his acquisition, but an entire team of the formerly far left company’s engineers was reportedly dismissed today and left “visibly shaken” according to reporters outside the building.

After arriving at Twitter’s headquarters with a team of Tesla engineers, Musk publicly fired the company’s executives – including censorship guru Vijaya Gadde – then reportedly locked Twitter engineers out of the company’s own code while his team examined Musk’s new acquisition.

Now, CNBC Tech Check reporter Deirdre Bosa reports, “It’s happening.”

An “entire team of data engineers” was “let go” from Twitter this morning, according to Bosa, who posted a photograph of two men carrying cardboard boxes that seem to have been hastily filled with office equipment.

“They are visibly shaken,” wrote Bosa, who added that one of the men told her he is a Tesla owner who “doesn’t know how he’s going to make payments” after losing his prestigious Silicon Valley job.

She added that the man is directing his focus at Musk, and is ostensibly blaming the free speech absolutist for his misfortune.

Conservative media outlet Breitbart reports that Musk is considering becoming the new CEO of Twitter, and using his position to personally allow multiple banned individuals back on the platform under his management.

Musk, however, apparently does not see himself remaining in this role indefinitely, and plans to appoint another executive.

While many conservatives await the possible return of 45th President Donald Trump to the platform, Trump offered a statement that seemed to suggest he is content to remain on Truth Social. Musk previously indicated he would be open to Trump’s return, however, as he does not believe in lifetime bans.

It’s also unclear whether it was Musk’s influence behind the return of Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, whose account was reactivated less than 24 hours after Musk formally acquired the big tech website.
