A paid campaigner for Arizona Democrat Senator Mark Kelly has said they have to “play both sides” to win over independents and moderates, including claiming he is “pro-life” when he “absolutely” isn’t.
Evynn Bronson, the Campaign Field Organizer for Mission For Arizona, was caught on tape by an undercover Project Veritas journalist, discussing how they could get independent and moderate Republican voters to back the current Senator in his race against Blake Masters.
The undercover journalist asked Bronson what they would do in a situation if a Republican voter quizzed the campaigners on Kelly’s stance on abortion. “I would say ‘Mark Kelly is pro-life but also pro-keeping the government out of our healthcare.’ I don’t know, something stupid like that,” Bronson replied, despite going on to say that Kelly is “absolutely… not pro-life.”
“Then I’d go to something like, ‘you know after his wife was in a shooting, he values life so much.’ It’s just a shame,” she added.

Bronson’s position is a paid one for Mission for Arizona, which is a coordinated campaign for the Arizona Democrat Party. On their Twitter page, they declare that their mission is to “re-elect [Kelly] and Democrats up and down the ballot in Arizona in 2022.”
Speaking to the journalist, Bronson claimed that if Kelly appeared to be “too far-left leaning,” he would “scare away a lot of those independents,” which she claimed represented 40% of voters. “He can’t win with just Democrat votes. He has to play both sides,” she said.
Kelly is refusing to “say anything outright about what he’s going to do, unless it will garner support from independents and some of the moderate Republicans,” Bronson added. “He needs them, otherwise he won’t win.” If he did tell the truth about his policy positions, he would “scare people away,” the Kelly campaigner concluded.
As Valiant News reported, a Project Veritas journalist recently revealed that Becky Hobbs, the twin sister of Arizona Democrat Katie, who is running for governor, claimed that the party had donated to “extreme” Trump-backed Republicans they saw as being easier opponents to fight against in the general.
