The highly unpopular former Vice President Mike Pence spoke to the Heritage Foundation this week and urged Republicans to support the Ukrainian war effort against Russia, which experts warn could lead to a possible Third World War.
“We must continue to provide Ukraine with the resources to defend themselves,” Pence said in a speech on Wednesday. “We must continue to bring economic pressure of the most powerful economy in the world on Russia, and we must continue to provide the generosity, compassion and prayers of the American people until Russia relents and until peace is restored,”
“I know there is a rising chorus in our party, including some new voices to our movement, who would have us disengage with the wider world, and abandon the traditional values of the heart of our movement,” Pence said, upset by the development.
“But appeasement has never worked, ever, in history. And now more than ever we need a conservative movement committed to America’s role as leader of the free world and as a vanguard of American values.”

Pence has been strongly advocating for the U.S. to continue pouring billions of dollars into their proxy war with Russia, despite concerns from experts and even President Joe Biden, who warned that “nuclear Armageddon” could occur as a result of escalation.
The former Vice President even paid a visit to Ukraine in March of this year to ostensibly conduct a public relations stunt with refugees who were fleeing the war.
“There can be no room in the conservative movement for apologists for Putin,” Pence said. “There is only room in this movement for champions of freedom.”
Pence has been unfavorably viewed by tens of millions of Republican voters and has since received abysmal approval ratings since his perceived betrayal of 45th President Donald Trump following the controversial results of the November 2020 presidential election, particularly after he presided over the certification of Biden’s electoral votes on January 6.
Doubling down on his open disdain for the former president, Pence even defended the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after they conducted the massive raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida earlier this year.
According to Pence, “calls to defund the FBI are just as wrong as calls to defund the police.” He also hinted at a potential testimony before the partisan January 6 Committee.

I wonder why some Republicans call Pence Judas? Is it because Trump is the 2nd Comming? Is it because he abided by the Constitution and US law and didn’t try to overturn the vote of the Joint Session of Congress in certifying the election?
I voted for Trump twice and will again if he runs in 2024. I’d love it if the GOP wins the House that they’d choose Trump as the Speaker. But while he’s a populist and opposed to the DC swamp, he’s not a divine savior. We don’t worship a man.
As for Pence, on January 6th, 2021, he abided by the Constitution and US law and did his job as the presiding officer. He had no authority to overturn the result of the States’ votes in the Joint Session of Congress.

Mike Pence was a good VPOTUS. He just got pulled in to the whole election fraud fiasco. When the reports came out, I saw several videos that might cause some concern, people stuffing what was supposed to be hundreds, thousands of ballots after the official time to vote was over. These all happened in the states that Trump took overwhelming in 2016. So, naturally people were wanting another look. In Georgia, a polling place was closed before votes were finished being counted, in another controversial video. It showed several people bring out plastic tubes of what seemed like ballots from under covered up tables and then they started putting the ballots through the machines. So, yes, people were concerned. When nobody would answer those questions, they began to think something was going on, especially since Biden couldn’t tie his shoes himself. There has never been an explanation of these videos and people still think the election was stolen.
Mike Pence had a Constitutional commitment to declare the election was won by Biden. Do people think he wanted Biden to be President? I don’t think so.
The misconception that he could stop the certification of the election came from Trump’s legal team. I don’t think Trump would have thought about that unless his legal team brought it up.
All of the polls showed the race to be neck and neck. It seemed it might be too close to call, but after the news networks left the air, the next day, Biden was declared the winner by a landslide. How could that have happened seemingly overnight? So, yes, people still today feel Biden won by fraud and default. I, myself, still question the videos. What was going on behind the sceens? Nobody will explain them or even admit they existed. Now you see why people are mad at Pence? He supportedly could have postponed the certification and examined the videos, but didn’t. If he did, it never was told to our fake news.

When have you seen an election where it took one week to tally the votes? My entire life elections are called on election day and not a week later. This is beyond an oddity.Is it not a requirement that elections are called to prevent fraud?

Thanks for your reply. I too saw no way that Pence could’ve constitutionally overturned or delayed the Electoral Vote Certification. No one, I repeat, no one has ever shown me where in the Constitution or US Law the VP had such authority. His job was a parliamentary one. to keep order and handle motions.
Here’re the laws on the matter. The 12th Amendment of the Constitution replaced the procedures in Article 2, Section 1, Cause 3 of the Constitution which defined how electors were originally chosen. Then there is the Electoral Control Act of 1887 (Pub.L.49-90, 24 Stat. 373 and Title 3. Chapter 1 § 18. The latter two define the procedures of the electoral college including the VP’s role in the certification.
I wish that the objections to certain States’ votes hadn’t been rejected by the Joint Session, but it wasn’t to be. But if we’re to call ourselves conservatives and constitutionalists, regardless of party affiliation, then we must hold fast to the Constitution as written or change it according to Article V.

Recce1, No one asked Pence to overturn the States Electoral votes, not even the representatives that were sent by the various States. Those representatives were asking that the counting of the electoral votes be suspended due to the election fraud they had become aware of. Pence had authority to honor the requests of each of those State’s to withdraw their Electoral votes until the matter of the fraud was resolved. Mike Pence, who called himself a Christian, an honest man, a man of integrity was given the opportunity to stand in his faith and do what was the right and honest thing to do to bring honor to his God but he did not. He not only stabbed President Trump in the back and all voters who seek fair and honest elections but, he stepped over the line and betrayed the Lord Jesus Christ. This is why he is called Judas. I pray he will repent but it seems he is filled with more hate now then I personally have ever seen in him.

If the U.S. would stop sending money and equipment to the Ukraine Russia and Ukraine would sit down and negotiate. Putin asked, recently, for a cease fire and he wanted another sit down and the U.S. instructed Zelensky to refuse. As far as Pence, 100 legislatures signed a letter requesting a delay in certifying the election, if I remember correctly they wanted 10 days and Pence ignored them. He said constitutionally he couldn’t do anything. Interesting that the Democrats have a bill they will vote on ending the law that allows the VP to hold up the certification of votes. I paraphrased that last part but I’m sure you get the gist of it.

I do believe their is a section in the Constitution that gives the VP the authority to reject elector votes is fraud is suspected. And, fraud WAS SUSPECTED. If he abided by the constitution or any law why are the Democrats busy writing up a bill declaring the VP cannot decertify or extend the time period to certify. I thought this law was in effect, HMmmmm. Makes one think. The interesting fact was that the letter asking for a 10 day extension before certifying was signed by 100 legislators and completely ignored by Pence. That I never understood and he’s paying for that now. And he did have the authority something they are in the process of changing now.

Yes, Pence had every opportunity to stop the electoral count, of which he was obligated to do, especially with States sending their officials to the senate requesting him to cease the count due to the numerous issues of fraud found in their voting polls and systems. These representatives requested the count to be temporarily suspended until the fraudulent issues could be resolved, but Treasonous Traitor Pence would not. Pence not only stabbed President Trump and All voters, no matter their party, in the back but, he turned his back on the God he touted to believe in. He had a choice at that very moment to do what was the right and honest thing to do, but he did not.
