Joe Biden has said that fees for extra space on airlines are racist, as they impact “marginalized Americans,” especially “people of color” the hardest.
Speaking on Monday, Biden hit out at the fees that airlines charge for extra legroom when flying, in another bizarre comment that baffled a number of people. “Some airlines, if you want six more inches between you and the seat in front, you pay more money, but you don’t know it until you purchase your ticket,” Biden said.
“Look folks, these are junk fees, they’re unfair, and they’re hitting marginalized Americans the hardest, especially low income folks and people of color,” he continued, but refused to explain as to why people of color would somehow be most affected by these fees. “They benefit big corporations, not consumers,” he concluded.

Unsurprisingly, commenters on social media were extremely confused by his remarks. “Is he saying people of color are fat or broke,” one asked, with another wondering if he implied that people of color are “six inches larger” than everyone else.

One noted that when it came to height, white men are actually the tallest on average, with black men slightly shorter, and Asians and Hispanics the shortest on average, meaning that fees from airlines for extra leg-room would actually affect white men the most.

The comments from Biden follows a strange appearance on far-left cable network MSNBC, where he suggested that he could fall ill and die at any time.
“Am I slowing up? Am I don’t have the same pace?” Biden said. “You know, uh, and that old joke—You know, uh, um, everybody talks about the—you know, the new 70’s 50—you know, all that stuff.”
“I’m a great respecter of fate,” he added. “I could get a disease tomorrow, I could, you know, drop dead tomorrow,” he concluded.
