In a now-viral video, a Swedish woman appears to be holding a dead falcon, de-winged from a huge wind turbine.
Opponents of wind turbines question whether they can be touted as a “clean” energy, as it takes 15 to 20 years for a wind turbine to pay for itself, and the blades are known to kill birds that fly in their path, not viewing the machines as a natural predator.
I wonder what goes through the mind of an eco-fanatic when they see this beautiful bird with its wing missing due to wind farms. pic.twitter.com/X1o2kJXfCg

Rebel News reporter Lewis Brackpool commented, “Green fanatics are, of course, consistently droning on about environmentalism whilst advocating for green policies, such as wind farms.”
He added, “Green fanatics cannot admit their policies are flawed.”
A lot of the usual suspects including journalists are missing the point.

A 2013 study found wind turbines kill an estimated 140,000 to 328,000 birds each year in the United States.
45th President Donald Trump gave a speech in 2019 at a Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Florida that touched upon wind turbines:
They’re noisy. They kill the birds. You want to see a bird graveyard? You just go. Take a look. A bird graveyard. Go under a windmill someday. You’ll see more birds than you’ve ever seen ever in your life. You know, in California, they were killing the bald eagle. If you shoot a bald eagle, they want to put you in jail for 10 years. A windmill will kill many bald eagles. It’s true.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), about 3,000 turbines have been built in the United States each year since 2005. As of January 2022, the U.S. Wind Turbine Database (USWTDB) contains more than 70,800 turbines that have been built since 1980.
USGS scientists concluded in a study that, if growth in wind energy continues at the current pace by 2040, turbine-caused deaths could cut golden eagle populations by almost half over 10 years.

The Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act (16 U.S.C. 668-668d), provides criminal penalties for persons who “take, possess, sell, purchase, barter, offer to sell, purchase or barter, transport, export or import, at any time or any manner, any bald eagle … [or any golden eagle], alive or dead, or any part (including feathers), nest, or egg thereof.”
The Act defines “take” as “pursue, shoot, shoot at, poison, wound, kill, capture, trap, collect, molest or disturb.”
Not only are these killing machines disturbing eagles, they’re slicing them in half…to the point we might lose half of their population.
