45th President Donald Trump promised full pardons and government apologies to “many” of the January 6 detainees who have been described by many on the right as Joe Biden’s political prisoners.

Trump made the statements earlier today during an appearance on “The Wendy Bell Show”, a conservative radio program.

“I mean full pardons with an apology to many,” Trump told Bell while discussing how a hypothetical Trump administration would respond to January 6 defendants.

While Trump has yet to formally announce whether he will run in 2024, he is widely expected to run for another term in the White House and told Bell that he “will look very, very favorably about full pardons.” He added that, if “I decide to run, and if I win, I will be looking very, very strongly about pardons, full pardons.”

The 45th President also revealed for the first time that he has provided financial support for some of the defendants.

“I met with a number of families, but I met with and am financially supporting people that are incredible,” said Trump. “They were in my office actually two days ago, so they’re very much in my mind.” Trump added, “It’s a disgrace what they’ve done to them. What they’ve done to these people is disgraceful.”

Trump described Biden’s Department of Justice as a “radical left system” and his detained supporters as as mostly “firemen, they’re policemen, they’re people in the military.”

He later added, “We’re working on it very hard, we’re working with legal.”

“Some of the legal people on the other side,” Trump later added, “they’re the most cold hearted people. They don’t care about families. They don’t care about anything.”

“I’ve studied it, I’ve studied cases, and Constitutions should be made – you know, they have some good lawyers. But even the judges – you get some of the judges that are so nasty, and so angry and mean.”

He then urged listeners to donate to individual defendants’ legal funds.

The Washington Post reports that Trump had previously indicated he may pardon January 6 defendants in a hypothetical future administration, but revealed for the first time that he would offer a formal government apology to “many” of the defendants and that he is paying the legal fees for some of the defendants.

As he ended the interview, Trump promised and warned voters that “We’re going to win, we’re going to win, but we’re dealing with really sick people.”

“The damage they’ve done,” Trump lamented.

I’m glad Trump is doing this, but those poor people in solitary confinement and squalid conditions for 4 years is more than any man can take. Hope for the best. Trump should give them all a million dollars too.

I am not surprised he is funding their legal teams. I am not surprised he has been meeting with their families. He is that kind of person. He loves America and he loves the people. That is what sets him apart from so many politicians.

The families need to start filing lawsuits now if they haven’t already. Everybody jailed has been subject to deplorable conditions in jail, denied visits from family, denied their right to reasonable bail and the public defenders many have been stuck with are partisans who are demanding the defendants renounce their belief that the 2020 election was stolen.
