Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) introduced legislation this week that would ban abortions nationally after 15 weeks of pregnancy, angering Republican voters who see the move as a virtue signal that could help Democrats in the midterms.
“We’re gonna have an election in 2022. The inflation report today was, in my view, bad news for the American consumer,” Graham declared. “Inflation’s not getting better anytime soon. In fact it’s going to get worse. Crime is on the rise. We have a broken border. But having said all that, the abortion issue in America has always been part of our political discourse. It will continue to be.”
The abysmal approval ratings of the Joe Biden administration have led many GOP voters to believe that the Democrats could lose the House and Senate in 2022.
However, the reaction from Democrat and independent voters to the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade earlier this year has shown that abortion could be a galvanizing issue against Republicans, as polling data shows banning abortion is not a high priority for most Americans.
Additionally, many states have already implemented state abortion bans following the SCOTUS ruling, leading many voters to wonder why Graham is not choosing to focus on the numerous failures of the Biden regime.
Terrible idea.
I’m 100% pro life.
This decision on when life begins belongs to the states. Same for what constitutes a marriage. https://t.co/9hrPuhwFKm

I’m pro-life and I’m fuckin pissed off at @LindseyGrahamSC. SCOTUS rightly overturned Roe to send this decision to the states and he’s trying to vote on a nationwide ban right before elections?!! You have got to be fuking kidding me. https://t.co/GrPbi1M2Xg

If republicans win a majority in November it will be in spite of guys like this https://t.co/aEkqocX777

Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
To paint the pic clearer – why before elections would you pour gas all over the abortion bonfire?
The timing couldn't be worse, or depending on your agenda, the timing couldn't be better.
Rs always seem to have these turncoats. Amazing to watch. 🤷♀️ https://t.co/AUMpxlO1no— Thumperella 5×5 (@17donttread76) September 13, 2022
This is stupid. The states are already working on completely banning abortion. @GOP keep your hands off of the abortion issue unless you plan on outlawing it completely. All you ever do is snag defeat from the jaws of victory https://t.co/C5uuQQJFio

A cynical man would look at this fact pattern and think this is a ploy by the GOP establishment to drive up pro-abortion turnout in two months in order to reduce the number of good populists that are on track to be elected this go around, thereby consolidating power for 2 years. https://t.co/EvrbsaSpEl

The @GOP is intentionally trying to lose the midterms. They want to quell the #Trump surge. The Rino #GOP have just as much to lose as the Democrats. They are one & the same. It won’t pass, they know it. This is about giving Dems a narrative@LindseyGrahamSC stinks of Rino shit. https://t.co/NIxOApK6oG

Dear @LindseyGrahamSC, @GOP
If you all intentionally fck up this election with nonsense such as this, We The People are taking names. Fools https://t.co/wtCnf6IidG— LMS (@sweetmtnchick) September 13, 2022
Why is Lindsey pissing away our chance to re take the Senate!?! 🤬 https://t.co/ztWeAeKllG
— Drew (@Drew_E_Hill) September 13, 2022
The establishment @GOP is trying to lose the midterms on purpose. Time for the rinos to go. WHY oh WHY would you do this now unless you were trying to intentionally help the democrats? https://t.co/goGisRp3zt

Here's a uniparty globalist trying to invoke lefties to vote. Leave this issue, and most others, to the fucking states. https://t.co/nZrJ6vssMt

GOP leadership is purposely sabotaging the midterms.
Why??🤔🤔🤔
We see you @LeaderMcConnell @LindseyGrahamSC @SenateGOP @GOPLeader https://t.co/KMM7l5Hbfm— Krak2020 (@darmamar) September 13, 2022
Abortion is a state issue, not a federal issue, and even if it wasn't, this legislation has zero chance of passing through a Democrat Senate, House, and White House. Is this supposed to galvanize pro-life voters? I can only assume that establishment Republicans want to lose. https://t.co/IrgFerjgbj

Throwing gas on the fire in neck-and-neck Senate races. This is dumb af. And probably intentional. https://t.co/QSTRS0g3IW

At this point, two months out from an election the only logical conclusion is that these people are actively trying to lose.
I don’t know why, but they are.
How idiotic. https://t.co/kESxkPVTrp

Lindsey Graham, and China Mitch should be long gone. Maybe the voters will smarten up, but I doubt it.

What do the voters that continue to vote these satanists into office have for breakfast? Whatever it is, it has destroyed their cognitive ability. That, or else they truly are ignorant.

Mr. Graham is a deep stater and he needs to be arrested for treason but I agree with him on this we need to ban abortion and make it a federal crime for murder for anyone that gets an abortion or helps someone get an abortion.

He really should go to the Democrat side or not be elected again. Abortion is where it should be – at the STATE level and let the people vote!!! Get rid of GRAHAM!!!! Mitch needs to go too!!!!
