Former President Donald Trump took shots at former New Jersey governor Chris Christie on the former’s Truth Social platform after Christie came out in in support of the Biden FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property.

“It’s not only the nature of the documents,” Christie said on Sunday. “We now have a good idea of the timeline. This has been 16 months that the Department of Justice has been saying please, asking nicely, negotiating with his attorneys, taking up partial production, seeing a non-response to a subpoena.”

“They had no choice, in my view, but to go in and take them, because of the nature of the documents,” Christie added. “He had that in the top drawer at Mar-a-Lago in his desk. “That’s a problem. I don’t think he’ll be prosecuted for it, but we ought to get those documents back.”

In response, Trump posted an unflattering photo of Christie with the caption “Chris Christie at a Roy Rogers at 11 PM in the evening trying to console himself” on Friday.

Trump discussed the possibility of being indicted by Joe Biden’s Department of Justice in the coming days, and warned conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt that Americans would not stand for such an unprecedented maneuver from the Democrat-dominated government.

“I don’t think the people of the United States would stand for it,” Trump told Hewitt when asked about the possibility of a forthcoming indictment following the politically divisive raid on Trump’s home and resort in Florida. The former president added added, “As you know if a thing like that happened, I would have no prohibition against running” for the White House in 2024.

“I think you’d have problems in this country the likes of which perhaps we’ve never seen before,” Trump then warned a Hewitt. “I don’t think the people of the United States would stand for it.”
