Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) posted a Twitter thread on Tuesday slamming outgoing Biden administration medical advisor Anthony Fauci over the medical bureaucrat’s claim that the “science” surrounding COVID-19 had evolved, resulting in his policy failures and inaccurate claims about masks, lockdowns, and COVID-19 vaccines.
Speaking on MSNBC this week following his announcement that he would be retiring from his positions as NIAID Director and Chief Medical Advisor to Joe Biden at the end of the year, Fauci denied “flip flopping” on his views and instead blamed the “evolution” of COVID-19 for his failed recommendations and policies.

“With covid, I mean, things that we thought we knew at the beginning turned out as the months went by to not to be the case, which forced us to adapt and to change some of our policies and recommendations. That was interpreted as flip flopping, or not really knowing what’s going on, when it really was the evolution of the science.”
The remarks prompted a harsh rebuttal from Massie, who accused Fauci of ignoring the science on COVID-19 throughout the pandemic.
Among various perceived shortcomings, Massie noted that Fauci and those in line with his policies had ignored the prospect of natural immunity to COVID-19 and the effectiveness of cloth masks.
“Science didn’t evolve, Fauci ignored science. He denied the existence of natural immunity. He spoke of droplets to avoid acknowledging the size of the virus was too small to be stopped by the filters of loose fitting cloth masks,” Massie wrote.
Massie added that Fauci had misled Americans on the results of the COVID-19 vaccine trials and “ignored” the negative effects that nationwide lockdowns had on the population.
“The vaccine trials were designed NOT to show the vaccines didn’t prevent infection or spread, but he spoke as if they did. He ignored harm caused by locking down people – delayed cancer screenings, untreated diabetes, un-filled prescriptions, mental health (suicides), etc.”
He downplayed early treatments and promoted late stage expensive pharmaceuticals while ignoring their side effects.
Fauci isn’t science, he’s a snake oil salesman trying to quietly ride his wagon out of town before the people hold him accountable for his fraud.

The Kentucky congressman further accused Fauci of turning a blind eye to COVID-19 vaccine side effects and omitting the fact that children are relatively at low risk from dying or becoming seriously ill from the virus when compared to the elderly.
“He ignored and still ignores all side effects of the novel mRNA vaccines,” Massie said. “The policies he advanced never properly acknowledged that the elderly had exponentially more risk than children. He cared not about the stunted social and educational development of children.”
“He downplayed early treatments and promoted late stage expensive pharmaceuticals while ignoring their side effects. Fauci isn’t science, he’s a snake oil salesman trying to quietly ride his wagon out of town before the people hold him accountable for his fraud,” Massie concluded.
