Multiple reports have confirmed that FBI Special Agent Jeremy Linton, who signed the receipt of items taken during the raid on 45th President Donald Trump’s home and resort Mar-a-Lago, was previously involved in the bureau’s investigation of the January 6 protests.

As Valiant News reported on Friday, the warrant that resulted in the raid on the home of 45th President Donald Trump, was obtained and published by multiple news outlets. According to the warrant, multiple boxes of documents were seized, including some supposedly labelled as “top secret.” Further posts including sections of a receipt of documents, show that the executive grant pardoning Trump ally Roger Stone was taken, along with files relating to the “President of France.”

The receipt of the documents was signed by FBI Special Agent Jeremy Linton, as reported by Breitbart News and other outlets.

First highlighted on Twitter by the pseudonymous reporter known as Crab Man, Linton had submitted an affidavit in the case of Tommy Allan, a man from northern California who was indicted last year by a federal grand jury.

Allan, who pleaded guilty on Thursday to the charge of obstructing an official proceeding, was accused of climbing a rope on the wall of the Capitol in order to get inside, and proceeded to allegedly make posts on Facebook about his time inside.

After returning home, Allan destroyed documents in his backyard that he had taken from the Senate building, according to court documents. He has been ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution, and faces a maximum of 20 years in prison, with his sentencing set for December 8.

In the affidavit for Allan’s case, Linton declared that he was on active duty as a Special Agent for the FBI on January 6, and has been “assisting with the investigation of criminal activity in and around the US Capitol” on that day.

Linton confirmed that he was responsible for identifying Allan on January 16, 2021, based on a comparisation of the alleged Facebook profile picture provided by the informants and official government documentation.

The FBI Special Agent wrote that he further reviewed footage from inside the Senate chamber, along with news reports, and identified Allan within them.

While Linton’s name is redacted in official online Justice Department filings of the affidavit, it remains unredacted and publicly available in files posted to the website of George Washington University’s Program on Extremism.
