David Hogg was escorted out of a meeting of the House Judiciary Committee after interrupting Rep. Andy Biggs with an unhinged rant about gun control.
On Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee were discussing HR 1808, the Assault Weapons Ban of 2021. During the hearing, Andy Biggs, the Representative from Arizona, argued that the ban was a bad idea, as his constituents needed to “protect themselves” against dangerous illegal immigrants who may come across the southern border.
“The reality is it’s an invasion of our southern border,” Biggs said, arguing that his constituents must be armed in case they come across those who “pose a danger or threat.”
Parkland school shooting survivor-turned radical gun-control activist David Hogg then spoke up and interrupted Biggs. “You are reiterating the points of mass shooters,” Hogg screamed. “The shooter in El Paso described it as an invasion. Guess what? Those guns are coming from the United States of America! They aren’t coming from Mexico!”

Hogg then began to be escorted about by security, as he continued to shout at Biggs and the committee. “You are reiterating the points of a mass shooter sir! Sir, you are perpetuating this violence!” he continued. “Out you go!” Biggs seemingly responded.
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Democrat from Texas on the committee, spoke after Hogg left, saying that she wanted to “respect the gentleman who could not take it anymore and had to express himself,” adding that she acknowledged his “pain.”
After he was escorted out, Hogg was confronted by a member of the American Firearms Association in the hallway. “Hey, David Hogg! Did your momma not ever tell you to sit down and be quiet when the adults are talking?” the filmer asked, with Hogg looking unimpressed, before he was moved away.
The gun-control activist then started playing copyrighted music in an attempt to prevent the video from being posted online.

Hogg proceeded to post a follow up video to social media, where he claimed that policy disagreements were acceptable, but that the rhetoric used by Biggs was not.
“The reality is, these mass shooters are reiterating talking points that sure as hell sound a lot like what these Republicans are saying,” Hogg said.
“Sure, we might have our disagreements, obviously, but the reality is that if you’re saying something that mass shooters are also agreeing with, maybe you shouldn’t be saying that same thing at the same time.”
We have a duty to interrupt white nationalists when they spew harmful rhetoric. We have to, they’re using the same talking points as mass shooter manifestos.

Responding to the original video on Twitter, Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch posed the question asking why Hogg wasn’t arrested, given he was videoed “obstructing Congress like Jan 6 defendants.”
So will Mr. @davidhogg111 be jailed and prosecuted for obstructing Congress like Jan 6 defendants? https://t.co/KUmP97zSAW
