Footage from an upcoming documentary filmed in January 2021 shows former Vice President Mike Pence reacting to a House resolution demanding he invoke the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump from power.

“Yeah, excellent,” Pence says, smirking.

The documentary clip was aired on CNN on Thursday, and shows an aide handing Pence a phone containing a draft of Nancy Pelosi’s House resolution demanding he invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump from office following the events of January 6.

Pence’s “Yeah, excellent,” was followed by a smirk, and “Um, tell Zack to print me off a hard copy for the trip home. Great.”

“I’m always hopeful about America,” Pence added.

Pence ultimately did not invoke the 25th Amendment, though he did criticize Trump in his letter to Pelosi explaining his refusal.

“Last week, I did not yield to pressure to exert power beyond my constitutional authority to determine the outcome of the election, and I will not now yield to efforts in the House of Representatives to play political games at a time so serious in the life of our nation,” Pence wrote.

The documentary by Alex Holder is set to be released on Discovey Plus and will reportedly feature interviews with Donald Trump and his three children Don Jr, Ivanka, and Eric.

Donald Trump claimed last Friday that Pence was a “human conveyor belt” for “fraudulent votes” following the 2020 election.

“Mike was afraid of whatever he was afraid of,” Trump said at the Faith and Freedom Coalition. “But as you heard a year and a half ago, Mike Pence had ‘absolutely no choice’ but to be a human conveyor belt.”

“He was a human conveyor belt,” Trump continued. “Even if the votes were fraudulent, they said he had to send the votes, couldn’t do anything. I said, ‘Well, what happens when you had more votes than you had voters.’”
