Fox News host Tucker Carlson slammed Vice President Kamala Harris as “historically incompetent and fake” on Thursday, castigating defenders who claim all criticism of her is rooted in sexism and “anti-blackness.”
“Now, if you watch the show, you know that for more than a year now, we’ve had a pretty conventional understanding of this country’s first Black/Indian/part Canadian vice president who also happens to identify as a woman,” Carlson said. “Now, we’ve assumed that Kamala Harris was historically unpopular because she’s historically incompetent and fake.”
“We assume she earned her low approval numbers,” Carlson continued. “We’re not alone in that. Lots of other people have come to the very same conclusion.”
Carlson riffed, “There’s currently a debate among software engineers about whether Harris is even of biological origin or instead the product of a classified government A.I. project gone wrong. We don’t know the answer, but we certainly understand the question. She’s that synthetic. So again, until the other day, we assumed that people don’t like Kamala Harris because she’s highly unlikable. Keep in mind that even her own husband kisses her with a mask on.”
The Fox News host went on play clips of MSNBC employees claiming all criticsm of Harris is rooted sexism and “anti-blackness.”
“So, the takeaway is Kamala Harris isn’t unpopular because she’s a bad person,” Carlson jibed. “She’s unpopular because you’re a bad person. You’re the problem. Your racism is hurting Kamala Harris’ political career. Damn you bigot!”
Harris missed five straight basketball shots from inside the three-point line during an event marking the 50th anniversary of Title IX at the American University sports center.
Viewers who viewed the four second clip posted to Twitter by Harris aide Opal Vadhan, however, were led to believe Harris sank her first shot.
In actuality, Harris labored on the court for nearly two minutes, missing shot after shot. Eventually, husband Dough Emhoff stepped in to show her how to properly shoot, and she made a bucket on her sixth attempt, which was then posted by Vadhan with a caption of three basketball emojis.
Many of Harris’ shots were “airballed,” making no contact with the backboard or rim. The vice president’s shooting average was .17%.
