Sperm Count Temporarily Drops after Taking Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine, Study Claims

A 22.1% reduction in sperm motility was seen after around 3 months, with a recovery observed after around 5 months.

An Israeli study has revealed that sperm count temporarily drops three months after taking the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

The study, conducted by a number of Israeli scientists, was performed in order to investigate the “possible detrimental impact on male fertility” of the COVID-19 vaccines. 37 sperm donors who were going to take the BNT162b2 vaccine created by Pfizer had their sperm count analysed before taking the vaccine, and then three times after taking the second dose of the vaccine.

Donors provided sperm donations for a short term of 15-45 days after taking the vaccine, then a medium term donation of between 75 and 120 days after taking the second dose, and one final donation after over 150 days following vaccine completion.

The researchers discovered that comparing to the pre-vaccine control donation, total sperm concentration dropped by 15.4% by the time of the medium term donation, with a total motile count reduction of 22.1%. Motile sperm are sperm that still have the ability to move and “swim”.

However, evaluation of the long term donation showed overall sperm count recovery, with both semen volume and sperm motility not being impaired.

The study concluded that the “systemic immune response after BNT162b2 vaccine is a reasonable cause for transient semen concentration and TMC decline.”

In September last year, Nicki Minaj claimed on Twitter that a cousin’s friend had temporarily become “impotent” after taking a COVID-19 vaccine, although she did not mention which vaccine had allegedly caused the impotency.

Minaj was attacked by the media and world health authorities for making the claim, with Anthony Fauci arguing that “she should be thinking twice about propagating information that really has no basis,” and UK chief medical officer Chris Whitty saying that she should be “ashamed” for having done so.

The Trinadadian-American rapper, who was defended by Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, later said on an Instagram livestream that people “should be able to ask questions about anything you’re putting inside your body,” and that other celebrities were afraid to speak out for fear of being cancelled.

“People will isolate you if you simply speak and ask a question,” said Minaj. “I simply said we should be able to ask questions and speak. It’s scary when they start telling you that you can’t ask questions about anything.”
