Cenk Uygur, creator of left-wing news and commentary company The Young Turks, revealed to his audience this week that he believes podcaster Joe Rogan has had sexual intercourse with “several” transgender people.
Uygur’s sole basis for the claim appears to be the fact that he believes Rogan harbors transphobic beliefs, and that said beliefs could only result from a secret sexual attraction to trans people.
The TYT host then asked trans people to “let us know” about the sexual experiences he believes they had with Rogan.
“By the way, if you’re the trans person or several people that slept with Joe Rogan, can you let us know?” Uygur said. “Because it’s obvious that it’s personal for him.”
“Okay Joe, you slept with ah, a person like that, there’s nothing wrong with it!” Uygur screamed. “Get over it! Get over it! Get over it Joe! It’s super obvious that you’re super into trans people. And you’re taking it out, your hatred of yourself, on them and you’re making their life dangerous.”

Uygur’s rant was posted to Twitter by liberal journalist Gleen Greenwald with the caption, “Cenk Uygur is on a hunt for trans people that he is fantasizing had sex with Joe Rogan, and urging these trans people to contact Cenk and tell him all about it:”
The video, and the resulting response from social media after it went viral, drew the attention of Uygur.
“Right-wingers like @ggreenwald spreading clips like this of course leave out the context –@joerogan said today that he doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with using the word groomer about your political opponents,” Uygur tweeted on Friday. “He then accused LGBTQ community of being groomers in general.”

Uygur was on the receiving end of widespread mockery of his rant in the replies to is tweet about the situation.
