U.S. House candidate Vernon Jones (R-GA) has stated that if elected, he will move to have Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) “expelled” for what he views as having “double loyalty” to foreign interests.

“By sympathizing with the terrorist state of Pakistan, @IlhanOmar showed once again that her loyalty does not lie with the United States,” Jone posted to Twitter on Wednesday.

“No member of Congress should have double loyalty to any foreign state,” Jones said. “When I’m in Congress, I’ll move to have her EXPELLED. America FIRST.”

“America First” is a populist slogan popularized by former President Donald Trump that has become a rallying call for grassroots conservative activism. Jones has already secured the key endorsement of President Trump, who is largely regarded as the chief kingmaker of the GOP.

As Valiant News previously reported, recent polling data shows Jones, the former Democrat who left the party to embrace the pro-Trump wing of the GOP, four points ahead of opponent Mike Collins in the race for the Republican nomination to represent Georgia’s 10th District.

Jones is at 20%, while Collins is at 16%. 25% of voters said they were still undecided.

This comes despite Jones entering the race late, having previously announced a campaign for governor. He left that race at Trump’s request, to make room for Perdue, and received Trump’s endorsement immediately after announcing his run for the U.S. House.

Jones has also promised to take Florida’s parental rights legislation, dubbed the “Anti-Grooming Bill,” to a federal level if elected to Congress.

“In Congress, I’ll introduce a federal replica of the anti-grooming bill recently passed in Florida,” Jones wrote to his nearly 400,000 Twitter followers and 15,000 Telegram subscribers in March.

The candidate added, “Our kids should be learning math and science, not about the 800 genders that supposedly exist in some liberal fantasy land.”
