Conservative commentator and nationally renowned cable news host Tucker Carlson will be leaving Fox News, the network announced on Monday.
Carlson’s final episode of the highly rated Fox News program “Tucker Carlson Tonight” aired last Friday night.
Starting on Monday night, Carlson’s show will be replaced with “Fox News Tonight” and will feature a slew of other Fox News hosts until his replacement is announced.
“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We Thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” the network said in a statement.
“Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named,” Fox News Media said.

Carlson’s Friday show last week featured a segment about how reluctant the Biden administration’s Department of Justice is to investigate the president’s son, Hunter Biden, who is embroiled in a number of scandals and criminal investigations pertaining to his finances and foreign business dealings.

The surprise decision from the Murdoch media centerpiece comes shortly after Fox News ended a lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems with an out of court settlement that saw the network pay hundreds of millions. While Carlson’s communications were included in the lawsuit’s discovery, it is unclear if the voting machine company’s lawsuit contributed to the decision.
Carlson began his media career in the 1990’s and has had shows on multiple cable television news networks spanning from CNN, PBS, and MSNBC before joining Fox News in 2009.
The host ascended into political stardom in the years leading up to the first episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” in November of 2016, which quickly turned into one of the nation’s most popular news broadcasts in American history.
Carlson’s departure from Fox News notably comes after the network settled with Dominion Voting Systems for over $700 million in an election-related lawsuit, along with rumors that other hosts, including Dan Bongino, Jeanine Pirro, and Maria Bartiromo may be leaving the network as well.
Superimposed on the Dominion suit fallout, Carlson had released previously suppressed surveillance footage that revealed law enforcement officers had escorted protesters throughout the Capitol building and even into the Senate chamber on January 6.

“Virtually every moment of his time inside the Capitol was caught on tape,” said Carlson of the footage. “The tapes show the Capitol Police never stopped Jacob Chansley. They helped him. They acted as his tour guides.”

Well FOXNEWS guys…Did you guys hire that chick from the Bud Light thing? Because this really looks like a Bud Lite moment for you.
Let me let you in on a secret you ain’t gonna make it solely relying on Greg Gutfeld alone. Tucker was the only program on your network that a multitude of us ever watched, and you are going to find that out by the end of this week if not by Wednesday! You are about to find out what “Go woke, go broke” means first hand.
Well it’s time to pump fake and dump FOXNEWS. It was fun while it lasted.

With out Tucker Carlson, I will not be turning on Fox News. I would have it on waiting on Tucker and then watch Hannidy and Laura, just because it was there. No more…I am done. I can get all the news I want from other sources. Fox News has just shot theirself in the foot. Bet I am not the only one that will be leaving. At this point, I will not even bother with Gutfeld.

It looks like the problem with Tucker is likely his pushback on January 6. The powers that be in the executive and legislative branch of our government were extremely upset by the truth surrounding Jan 6 being exposed. Perhaps threatening the network if certain hosts were allowed to stay. Think?

I heard that AOC and Shumer made calls to Fox – they had already called for Tucker’s ouster. Now we see who does the bidding. Fox has become a puppet for the left! Hope Rupert loses millions on this.

Not too many if any left in msm to watch anymore. Good luck fox. You are going to need it. It is politics that had him removed. Why would you fire your best.

Well, Disney Corp owns ABC, ESPN, Hulu, Disney Channel, Disney+, Freeform, Tubi AND FOX! The Murdoch family has a 39.6% ownership share however Rupert has given control of the news branch to his liberal son Lachian.

I’m pretty much done with FOX. All that is left for me to watch is Maria Bartulomo (sp?) and Mark Levine & that all depends on who his guests are.
